Una Casa para el Pájaro / A Home for a Bird

Un pájaro llega a casa
y se para en una mesa parda,
la examina con calma
es una tabla solitaria.

Empieza a picotear,
la mesa quiere marcar,
seguramente su nombre escribirá
para dejar claro que es su propiedad.

A bird comes home
and perches on a brown table,
calmly examining it,
it’s a lonely tabletop.

It begins to peck,
wanting to leave its mark on the table,
it will surely write its name
to make it clear that it belongs to it.

El animal escribió Clemencia,
este pájaro es una hembra,
deja todo y se aleja,
en ese momento una pulga llega.

No le gusta lo que han escrito,
la mesa le pertenece desde el domingo,
borra el nombre con estilo
y deja el lugar muy limpio.

The animal wrote Clemencia,
this bird is a female,
she drops everything and walks away,
just then a flea arrives.

She doesn't like what they've written,

La pájara regresa después,
trae su cama y el televisor también,
quiere su hogar aquí hacer
y no encuentra su nombre está vez.

Ella comprende que no es su hogar
y con la cara triste se va,
a la pulga le da pesar
y le dice que se quede, que pueden convivir en paz.

The bird returns later,
bringing her bed and the TV too,
she wants to make this her home
but can’t find her name this time.

She realizes this isn’t her home
and leaves with a sad face,
the flea feels sorry for her
and tells her to stay, that they can live together in peace.

La pulga le colabora
y los dos la habitación acomodan
hacen una amistad grandiosa
y ven televisión a toda hora.

The flea helps him out,
and the two of them make the room cozy;
they become great friends
and watch TV all the time.
