Un pastel con moho / A moldy cake

Dos pasteles estaban en el plato,
y llegó un té recién preparado,
alguien tomó un pastel con descaro
y lo mordió de inmediato.

El otro pastel que en el plato estaba,
se asustó de forma exagerada,
no quiere que lo dañen o lo partan
y decide huir de forma rápida .

There were two cakes on the plate,
and some freshly brewed tea arrived,
someone boldly grabbed a cake
and took a bite right away.

The other cake on the plate
got terribly scared,
not wanting to be damaged or cut up,
it decided to run away quickly.

Por la cocina va caminando
y ve unas papas pardas a un lado
tras ellas se guarda con agrado,
es un escondite bien logrado.

Al rato llega una espora al lugar
y al pastel se acerca de forma audaz,
le habla con amabilidad
y hacen una amistad.

He walks through the kitchen
and sees some brown potatoes off to the side;
he happily hides behind them,
it’s a perfect hiding spot.

A little while later, a spore arrives
and boldly approaches the cake,
it speaks to him kindly,
and they become friends.

La espora se sube sobre el pastel,
con la autorización de él,
ahora muy bien se ve
y le promete que nadie lo va a comer.

Los dos regresan al plato contentos
y cuando llega alguien hambriento,
no lo come, el pastel no está bueno
porque lleva moho en su cuerpo.

The mold climbs onto the cake,
with its permission,
now clearly visible,
and promises it that no one will eat it.

The two return happily to the plate,
and when someone hungry comes along,
they don’t eat it—the cake isn’t good
because it’s covered in mold.
