Los piojos de la Luna / The Moon Lice

The moon looks clear, I take a good look at it and it becomes opaque, it changes color, it's magic, I'll go there, to see what happens.

Tomo un avión rosado
para llegar a la Luna rápido
y cuando estoy en lo alto,
saco mi lupa y exploro el astro.

I take a pink airplane, to get to the moon quickly and when I'm at the top I take out my magnifying glass and explore the star.

Y descubro la verdad,
pequeños puntos en la Luna hay,
se mueven de aquí para allá
son piojos de oscura tonalidad.

And I discover the truth, small dots on the Moon there are, they move back and forth, they are lice of dark hue.

Es así como el astro gris,
aveces se ve brillante y gris,
otros días, varía su color
se ve oscura, la Luna nueva llegó.

This is how the gray star, sometimes it looks endlessly bright, other days, it varies its color and looks dark, that is when the new Moon arrives with determination.
