El viaje de las piñas de pino / The journey of pine cones

Las ramas de pino al suelo han ido
y un fruto ha caído consigo,
es una piña parda
que lleva nieve de la temporada.

La piña no anda sola,
lleva consigo otra piña hermosa
es pequeña y pomposa
con ojos grandes y roja boca.

The pine branches to the ground have gone
and a fruit has fallen with it,
it is a brown pine cone
that carries the season's snow.
The pine cone does not walk alone,
it carries with it another beautiful pine cone
it is small and pompous
with big eyes and a red mouth.

Son madre e hija,
dos piñas que se van de visita,
a un clima cálido
donde no nieve demasiado.

Solo llevan una maleta
y muchas ilusiones de lo que venga,
viajaran en una hoja fresca,
que se deslizará con proesa.

They are mother and daughter,
two pineapples who are going on a visit
to a warm climate
where it doesn't snow too much.
They only have one suitcase
and many illusions of what's to come,
they will travel in a fresh leaf,
that will glide with prowess.

Buen viaje queridas piñas,
que no se mareen en la pista,
disfruten el buen clima
y las comidas surtidas.

Regresen el año que viene,
cuando la Navidad comience,
los pinos estarán alegres,
de tenerlas entre sus ramas nuevamente.

Bon voyage dear pineapples,
don't get dizzy on the runway,
enjoy the good weather
and the assorted meals.

to have you among their branches again.
