El hombre del sombrero / The man in the hat

Esta es la historia de un perro,
marrón y perezoso en extremo,
en su cama duerme por momentos
o se arrastra con lentos movimientos
como si bailará con el cojín grueso,
hasta que un día llega un sombrero,
solo, caminando por el suelo.

This is the story of a dog,
brown and lazy in the extreme,
in his bed he sleeps at times
or crawls with slow movements
as if dancing with the thick cushion,
until one day a hat arrives,
alone, walking on the floor.

El perro tiene demasiada pereza
no sabe si acercarse a la pieza,
decide ir a revisar que lleva
y toma el sombrero con decencia,
con fuerza lo contonea,
hasta qué cae un ser negro sin belleza,
eso sí, con mirada sincera.

The dog is too lazy
doesn't know whether to go near the piece,
decides to go and check what he's wearing

Aquel ser extrañado con el suceso,
toma su sombrero, lo pone en su cuerpo,
quiere continuar su éxodo
sin interrupciones, ni contratiempos,
pero, el perro lo detiene de nuevo
y le regala un oso tierno,
para que lo acompañe en su paseo.

That being, surprised by the event, takes his hat and puts it on his body,
takes his hat, puts it on his body,

A aquel hombre le agrada el gesto
y lleva el oso dentro del sombrero,
será un buen compañero,
no come, no habla, pero es terso
y lo acompañará todo el tiempo,
mientras el perro trepa en su sofá modesto
y descansa, este evento le dio sueño.

The man likes the gesture
and carries the bear inside his hat,
he will be a good companion,
he doesn't eat, he doesn't speak, but he's smooth
and will accompany him all the time,
while the dog climbs up on his modest sofa
and rests, this one made him sleepy.
