El día en que un paño reconoció su valor / The day a cloth recognized its value

Hay seres que se creen feos
y por eso se esconden en huecos,
esto sucedió con un paño viejo,
que se ocultó en un frasco de medicamentos.

Un día salió por el calor,
hasta una caja oscura caminó,
esta tenía un moño de lindo color
y ahí con tranquilidad se ocultó.

There are beings who think they are ugly
and that's why they hide in holes,
this happened with an old cloth,
that was hidden in a medicine bottle.

One day it came out because of the heat,
to a dark box he walked,
it had a pretty colored bow
and there he calmly hid himself.

Tras un momento dejó ver su brazo,
con el que agarró el lazo rosado,
lo tomó y lo llevó a su lado,
para hacer un traje improvisado.

Sale de la oscura caja,
y va al frasco en el que antes estaba,
ahí con elegancia se levanta
y decide que no se esconderá de nada.

After a moment she revealed her arm,

Se va a pasear en auto,

Un paño orgulloso de sí mismo,
que se ama infinito,
descubrió que no es feo, sino lindo
y ahora se valora como es debido.

He goes for a drive,
now he smiles, he feels great,
that pink ribbon,
gave him back the confidence he had lost.

A cloth proud of itself,
who loves himself infinitely,
discovered that it is not ugly, but beautiful
and now it values itself as it should.

Amate siempre y reconoce que eres un ser único, valioso y especial, abrazate y jamás permitas que alguien te maltrate, te subestime, te denigre, humille.
Tú vales mucho.
