A Quick Step Outside

Previously, I reflected on how slowing down during a walk helped me notice a plant showing every stage of a flower’s life, a quiet reminder of nature’s beauty and timing.

After I finished my lunch, I went for a simple walk to relax and soak in the warm midday sun. Maybe it's not the healthiest time of day for a walk, but a quick exposure to sunlight shouldn't be a problem. I've been staying indoors so much lately that my tan lines have almost faded and blended with the rest of my skin. Although they're not completely gone, the lines are now just faint traces, definitely an improvement.

I don’t think it’s wise to stay indoors all the time and avoid sunlight, especially since we need vitamin D. I’m not exactly sure of all the reasons why, but I do know it’s essential. That’s why spending just 15 to 20 minutes under the sun can be really beneficial.

It’s also a great time to check out the flowers in the garden and do some photography. I brought my phone with me because I knew there would be something interesting to capture. Like this one, the bougainvillea plants, which have been blooming all year round. They’re one of the best plants to have in a garden: low maintenance, resilient, and able to thrive with little attention aside from occasional trimming, as they tend to grow uncontrollably.

Today’s short walk offered sunlight, calm, and small moments of joy. Even faded tan lines and blooming bougainvillea reminded me of simple renewal. A bit of sun and a curious eye can truly brighten the day.

Nice captures bro! A little more contrast to isolate your subject would be even nicer!
