A Quick Escape Through the Lens
I had a bit of a photo walk today :D I say "a bit" because it was only a few minutes in the morning and another few in the afternoon. Still, it made me miss walking around more, just wandering and taking shots along the way. I really hope I’ll have more time this weekend to go on a proper long walk, unlike today’s quick one.
But one thing’s for sure: even a short photo walk like this gave me enough motivation to get through my busy day. LOL.
Maybe I’m being too personal about it, but from my perspective, photo walks let me escape the harsh reality of life in the city. I do enjoy life most of the time, but it can get overwhelming sometimes. That’s why I try to give myself a different view, a corner of the city that doesn’t look or feel like one.
Before I go on, I want to share a photo I took during my morning commute.
I stopped by Kallang Station and was about to transfer to a nearby bus stop when I noticed this view of the elevated railway. The tracks split because the station sits right between them. I thought it looked great captured with a wide-angle view like this.
In the afternoon, I walked through a neighborhood park and found myself staring at this tree that was full of fruit. I didn’t recognize the tree, and I assume the fruit—though it looks really nice—isn’t edible. I didn’t see any fallen or eaten fruit around, and it seems like no one is touching it. LOL.
And to complete my walk, a shot of the calm Kallang River!
Even short walks can spark inspiration and bring a little peace in the middle of a busy day. I'm glad I took the time to slow down and notice the simple beauty around me. Here's to finding more quiet moments like these, one step at a time.

Thanks so much for the upvote and support! Really appreciate it. 😊
I really like how you end it with a calm river. Thanks for sharing that to us!
I'm glad you liked that part! Ending the walk with a calm river felt like the perfect way to wrap up the day. 🌊
I was about to ask about the fruit, but I see that you don't know what it was either :)
Haha, right? I wish I knew what kind of fruit that was! Maybe next time I’ll do some detective work. 😄
Anyway bro, that's looked like a pong pong fruit. It is poisonous!
Oh wow, thanks for the heads-up!
I'm sure A lot of people who's going through something prefer to have a walk, even a short one, to forget, some use it to get inspiration, some also do it to do some thinking. Having a walk even inside home can do a lot too, especially if you have a garden. Anyways you really enjoy looking around there. I want to have a walk too in different place this time but I don't know where to go, haha. I've been living in our town since I was born but I haven't explore Our town yet, sad 🫠😭
Yes, even short walks or just being around plants can be uplifting. You should definitely try exploring your own town... there might be hidden gems right under your nose!
Even just seeing new angles of familiar places helps me feel refreshed. Your shots are calming!
Totally agree—new angles can really refresh the mind. Glad you found the shots calming!
