Mazara del Vallo
Today I invite you along Mazara del Vallo in the west Sicily on the Mediterranean Sea. Here a few shots from last year. As you can see the Arab Norman influence is still visible in the city architecture in the historic center with its colorfuly narow streets and church. It was a beautiful interesting trip, if you are in this area don't miss the opportunity to take a break.
The harbor is picturesque, a lively port combinig fishing, tourism and cultural heritage.

Sicily has been on my list for years and these photos just moved it straight to the top. That Arab-Norman architectural mix is so unique, you really don't find that combination anywhere else in Europe. I actually started planning a trip there last autumn, booked through a budget platform and left my thoughts at https://cheapair.pissedconsumer.com/review.html afterward since I always try to help fellow travelers make informed choices. Life got in the way and I postponed, but Mazara del Vallo is now firmly on my itinerary. That harbor looks incredibly peaceful.
