In my twenties I already started losing my hair, but I had enough to work with and when the fade came in, then I was able to continue working with what I had until I gave up and now can't imagine my life with hair on my head. One less thing to worry about other than the work it takes to keep it nice and shiny as often as possible lol.

Just as young, my eye sight wasn't the best; but I managed to not need them until, well; I needed them.

Then I would wear them at work or would wear them home, but never during my party days. Heck to the no.

Of course, age catches up and the glasses become part of you if of course you don't wear contacts. I refuse to put those things on my eyeballs and laser surgery at my age would just be a waste of money.

For many years, I tried very hard to pick the coolest looking glasses; because you know - vanity.

Now, I just want some comfortable ass glasses that allow me to see everything clearly. I get everything from transitions to scratch proof. So essentially I still pimp my glasses but not so much on the outside lol.

Ok, seriously folks. These are my latest pair of glasses and I am happy to get them on, because my older set was ready to become the new back up set and pronto.

It's funny how, it felt like yesterday, that one of my main concerns was; how the glasses looked on me and how today, I'm just glad I can see at all.

I feel you bro; fellow blind bat here.

I'll be happy if I can not lose or break my glasses for 5 years. It always stings to have to dish out dough for a new pair.

Plus "cooler" looking glasses can get expensive also. I don't know if it's true, but someone told me that one could buy cheaper glasses at a store for the frame and trade the cheaper lenses by buying the right ones.

Yes, 🙏🏼 luckily I have vision care included in my health benefits from work including HSA, so it helps.

Those glasses look good on you, Jimmy!

I have been wearing glasses since the sixth grade. My prescription is so heavy that if I didn't spend the money to get the lenses ground down to as thin as possible I'd be wearing coke bottle bottoms.
Tried contact lenses. Too high maintenance, too expensive and they never fit my eyes properly.

NO ONE will get near my eyes with a Laser EVER. So, glasses it is. Thankfully my vision hasn't changed much so I have had the same glasses for several years. Can't justify spending the money on new frames until I need to.

I have let go of a lot of things over the years that really don't matter. You know you're a grown-up when certain things like being able to see properly become important and others like expensive toys are much less so.

As we get older, we are more concerned with function over appearance. I'm not sure, but I think it is a "who cares how it looks" thing.

Also starting to loose hair in my 20's. It started with the bachelor thesis.😅
