This morning, Tiffany and I booked workout sessions for next Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those will be our first workouts, since May 29th.

To say Tiffa and I are excited would be an understatement.

Getting back to our HIIT sessions under the orange lights, also includes those other activities that we love to so.

Running events is a byproduct of the cardio we put into our sessions and put it to the test when we run at these events.

In October, we will be running our first event of 2022 and will be our first one at the Cocoa Beach Ron Jon 10k and Half Marathon.

Tiffa and I had already booked our spots long before the accident, but we also kept it reasonable by choosing the 10k leg of the run.

It would have been smarter to start with a 5K as our first running event post physical therapy, but we will listen to our bodies during the run; of course.

Looking forward to adding those medals to our collection!!

Great American Bacon Race 2016

Coincidentally, my FB timeline had one of my favorite running events remind me when I placed in the Top 3 for my age group back in 2016.

Six years ago, I was at a whole other level and was running with ease.

We ran it a couple of times after that, but they haven’t been back this way since the pandemic.

I love running, so the last couple of years has been frustrating trying to get back to what I am accustomed to.

Nevertheless, I will breathe a sigh of relief when I’m running and working out again.

Haha, now THAT'S my kinda race! I don't care about the running or anything, if bacon is involved, it's WORTH IT! Good luck with the 10k brother, we're cheering you on!

Wish you the best of luck for this race! What's the bacon got to do with the race? It's just a name or is there any real bacon involved as well? 🤤

Thank You @drlobes

Actually, yes just like the water station along the route of these races, for this particular one there were bacon stations but a much bigger one; once the race was over.

Personally, my pork intake is at 00000000.1 as I've gotten older. Don't get me wrong, I love bacon. I just wouldn't eat bacon before, during or immediately after a race lol.

Pizza immediately after a run, I never say no to.

I think neither pizza or bacon are recommended after a run this tough, but I'm sure you know much better than me! 🤗

For the most part, these events offer the healthy snacks, water, etc. The much bigger events will offer the beer and pizza.

It's all about spacing it out.

Usually, I get to to the finish line and wait for Tiffany and get to rest, drink water, eat a banana or granola bar while I wait for her. Giving me plenty of time to space things out. As well, as giving Tiffa time to allow her to do the same.

Honestly, many don't give a f*ck and they go right into it after the run. lol

Your first workouts in 3 months, you must be sooo excited. I love my running routine but I can never do 5k-10k run, I admire your stamina and willpower, Jimmy. I mean, the 3rd place and the number of medals you've got! Thanks for sharing, good luck with the 10k!

Yessir! @acesontop

56, look 46 and felt 36 until frickin COVID, a hamstring problem injury and the car accident made me feel my age lol.

Hopefully once I get back to it next week I can get back to at a minimum feeling 10 yeas younger.
