Little tenants (Spanish/English)

A loving greeting to all my friend of Hive, the last days in my town have been of heavy rains, dark days chase each other and between the humidity of the plots peek small forms of life, which today I want to share with you through my photographs. The protagonist of my rainy day was the snail. It is said that this impressive creature arrived to the community some years ago, according to some villagers a person brought from another country several black snails, of a very particular species, in order to experiment with them. In a short time they reproduced and invaded the houses, they became a plague. This is just a rural legend, but the truth is that before that in the small village of San Lorenzo snails were not seen.
Now they are quiet guests of the plots and paddocks. They move slowly along the sidewalks, sometimes passers-by step on them and a crunching sound announces the sticky death of a small snail. They have a complex organism and a body intelligence that protects them and allows them to interact healthily with their environment. They are supposed to be herbivores, but I have seen them eat huge mountains of excrement.
Nature has very particular creatures, but a close look is enough to find ourselves. The snail carries its shell from the moment it is born, and as it grows, so does it. In the same way we carry ourselves throughout our lives. The same mechanisms we designed to protect ourselves and to live are a burden on our back. And for what? If you can be so fragile and vulnerable under the sole of a shoe.
I'll say goodbye for now and leave you with these interesting photos, where you can take a closer look at the small tenants of my plot. See you next time.
