Photos From An Afternoon walk.

Hi Friends,

I decided to take my daily afternoon stroll and didn't know what to find! Within the first few minutes, I stumbled upon a discarded Ace card, like a hidden gem on the grass. Then I caught sight of something terrifying - a deadly caterpillar with legs as spikey as nails and colors show how deadly it is. My heart then raced as I saw a screaming bag that was discarded, like a silent scream lying discarded on the ground, and then finally, the most magnificent sight - a stunning sunset, with a sky so bright and vibrant it seemed to be made of spun gold! It was the perfect end to a curious and exciting walk.

Regarding the Ace, in Vietnam, the Ace of spades is considered bad luck and is steeped in a rich history of superstition and folklore.

According to tradition, the card symbolizes death and can bring misfortune to whoever holds it. As a result, superstitious Vietnamese soldiers often avoided picking up the ace of spades when playing cards and would instead opt for a different card. It's believed that during the Vietnam War, American soldiers would often place the ace of spades on their victims' bodies to spread fear and intimidation among the enemy. Even today, the Ace of spades still carries a bad reputation and is considered an omen of bad luck.

I have to wounder if that bad luck is what lead to the unfortunate end of this Ace?

Regarding the caterpillar, I only assumed it was deadly because of its bright yellow and red markings - those are usually a warning sign, right? But I wasn't 100% sure, so I opted not to pick it up. I mean, I didn't want to take the risk and find out the hard way that it was poisonous or something. It wasn't very big either - definitely not bigger than my thumb - so I guess it could have been harmless, but I'm not one to take chances when it comes to potentially dangerous animals.

In any case, I was happy that I didn't have to choose one way or the other since I just left the caterpillar alone after taking a photo and walked away. Would you have picked it up? Lol .

Anyway, that was my walk. I hope you enjoyed looking at these photos.

Cheers

The detail on that caterpillar photo is impressive. I would have kept my distance. No need to bother it or tempt fate.
