Este domingo, mi amiga Jenny nos invitó a pasar el día en la piscina del Hotel Pernik, aquí en mi ciudad, Holguín. Como siempre que me hablan de agua, me emociono como una niña, así que me puse a organizar todo de inmediato.

Mi madre, los niños de Jenny y yo nos pusimos en marcha y, al llegar, nos instalamos en un lugar un tanto peculiar: justo en la tarima, al lado del animador y la música. Aunque la ubicación tenía una vista preciosa del lugar, la música alta hizo que el ambiente fuera un poco más ruidoso de lo esperado.

A pesar de eso, fue uno de los mejores días de este año. Disfrutamos de todo: cerveza fría, pizza, piña colada (¡deliciosa!), jugo de tomate fresquito, ideal para el calor intenso, y, por supuesto, lo mejor de todo, el baño en la piscina. Me divertí muchísimo con los niños, que son súper cariñosos y siempre están llenos de energía. ¡Qué alegría verlos reír y disfrutar!
Aunque no hubo fiesta de la espuma esta vez, honestamente, no la necesitábamos.

Con todo lo que compartimos, el día terminó de forma perfecta. Ya se me hace difícil elegir qué momento fue el más especial, si la risa de los niños, el sol en la piel, o simplemente estar rodeada de buenas personas. Lo único claro es que fue uno de esos días que guardas en el corazón. Sin duda, una experiencia para repetir.

This Sunday, my friend Jenny invited us to spend the day at the pool of the Pernik Hotel here in my city, Holguín. As always when someone mentions water, I get excited like a little kid, so I quickly started organizing everything. My mom, Jenny's kids, and I headed out, and when we arrived, we ended up in a rather unusual spot: right on the stage, next to the animator and the music. Although the location offered a beautiful view of the place, the loud music made the atmosphere a little noisier than expected.
Despite that, it turned out to be one of the best days of this year. We enjoyed everything: cold beer, pizza, delicious piña coladas, fresh tomato juice—perfect for the intense heat—and of course, the best part, the swim in the pool. I had so much fun with the kids, they are super affectionate and full of energy. Seeing them laugh and enjoy themselves was a true joy!
Although there wasn’t a foam party this time, honestly, we didn’t need it. With everything we shared, the day ended perfectly. It’s hard to choose which moment was the most special, whether it was the laughter of the kids, the sun on my skin, or simply being surrounded by good people. One thing is clear: it was one of those days you keep in your heart. Definitely an experience worth repeating.
