En estos tiempos sin precedentes, la madre naturaleza nos suplica a gritos protección y cuidado. Aunque suene a cliché, los niños de hoy son el futuro. Serán los adultos del mañana y los guardianes de este planeta. De allí la importancia que aprendan a amarlo, cuidarlo y protegerlo. Finalmente, este es su hogar y también lo será para las generaciones venideras.

Mucho se habla de las devastadoras consecuencias del calentamiento global y el cambio climático. La naturaleza ya ha demostrado su poder y su inclemencia en situaciones adversas. Desafiar su furia, definitivamente, no es un buen plan.

Un plan acertado implica transformar nuestros pensamientos y acciones hacia una cultura ecológica y de preservación del medio ambiente. Si logramos inculcar esto en nuestros niños, estaremos formando ciudadanos responsables y comprometidos con un planeta verde, limpio y sostenible, que será la herencia de las generaciones futuras.

Por fortuna, algunos gobiernos y organizaciones del mundo parecen tenerlo claro. Un ejemplo es la alianza entre Disneyland Paris, Ecovidrio y la comunidad de Madrid, que bajo el lema “Reciclar vidrio es mágico” han instalado contenedores miniglús alusivos a personajes de Disney como una iniciativa que busca promover e incentivar el reciclaje y contribuir al cuidado del medio ambiente.
