Collecting memories and immortalizing moments | Madrid 📸 [En/Es]

Traveling and discovering new places is the best investment in the world, no matter the contrary opinions that may be said about it. For me, traveling is an act of self-love, which in turn serves as a motivating agent to focus efforts and energies on trying to have the money to achieve it, that is, somehow wanting to travel awakens the interest in making a sufficiently balanced financial plan that allows us to achieve this desire under a financially healthy scheme.

Although for investors traveling cannot be considered an investment because it does not generate a tangible return, the reality is that its benefits are far superior and have a permanent effect because they are experiences and memories that remain forever. I remember my grandmother used to say that the only thing we take with us when we die is what we have lived. When we travel we are open to the discovery of new customs, cultures, landscapes, dialects, aromas, and flavors, it is a wonderful cocktail of many new things that enrich our knowledge. Particularly, when I travel to a new place, I prefer its gastronomy and the architecture of its buildings, I love to stroll through iconic places that make the locals proud.

Viajar y conocer nuevos destinos es la mejor inversión del mundo, no importa las opiniones contrarias que puedan decirse al respecto. Para mí, viajar es un acto de amor propio, lo que a su vez funge como un agente motivador para centrar los esfuerzos y las energías en procurar tener los recursos para lograrlo, es decir, que de alguna manera desear viajar despierta el interés en trazar un plan financiero lo suficientemente equilibrado que nos permita hacer realidad ese deseo bajo un esquema financieramente saludable.

Aunque para los financieros viajar no se puede considerar una inversión por no generar un rédito tangible, la realidad es que sus beneficios son muy superiores y de efecto permanente, pues son experiencias y recuerdos que permanecen por siempre. Yo recuerdo que mi abuela solía decir que lo único que nos llevamos cuando morimos, es lo vivido. Cuando viajamos nos abrimos al descubrimiento de nuevas costumbres, culturas, paisajes, dialectos, aromas, sabores, es un cóctel maravilloso de muchas cosas nuevas que enriquecen el conocimiento. Particularmente, cuando viajo a un nuevo lugar, me decanto por su gastronomía y por la arquitectura de sus obras, me encanta pasearme por sitios icónicos que enorgullecen a sus lugareños.

In recent days I had the opportunity to walk the Paseo del Prado in Madrid, and I was fascinated with the view of its surroundings. It is a long stretch that I walked, I honestly could not tell you where the tour began, nor where it ended, I just know that I walked delighted by those streets, discovering scenes worthy of immortalizing. At times, while I was taking pictures, I imagined that many of them at some point would be used to recreate a novel or a fascinating story, one that I might be encouraged to write in the future. You cannot imagine the emotion I felt to see that in the midst of so many buildings, one of them was nothing more and nothing less than the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Academy, what a privilege.

I walked for more than two hours, and I didn't even notice it. The weather, the landscapes, the architecture, and the history behind the streets and buildings, let the imagination run wild. While many walked fast, typical of a capital environment full of tourists, I took the time to appreciate details that perhaps went unnoticed by most. There are many photos that I would like to share with you, I have selected only some of them, I will surely make other publications, but for now, I hope you can discover in them much of what I managed to appreciate, to travel with me, to accompany me on the journey through these images, and if not, well, nothing, I can return with pleasure and make new shots.

En días pasados tuve la oportunidad de caminar el Paseo del Prado en Madrid, y quedé fascinada con la vista de sus alrededores. Es un largo trecho el que recorrí, sinceramente no sabría decirles donde inició el recorrido, ni donde terminó, solo sé que caminé encantada por esas calles, descubriendo encuadres dignos de inmortalizar. Por momentos, mientras hacía las fotografías, imaginaba que muchas de ellas en algún momento servirían para recrear alguna novela o algún cuento fascinante, uno que tal vez me anime a escribir a futuro. No pueden imaginar la emoción que sentí de ver que en medio de tantos edificios, uno de ellos era nada más y nada menos la sede de la Real Academia Española, que privilegio.

Caminé por más de dos horas, y ni lo noté. El clima, los paisajes, las estructuras, la historia detrás de sus calles y edificios, dejan volar la imaginación. Mientras muchos caminaban rápido, propio de un ambiente capitalino plagado de turistas, yo me regalé el tiempo de apreciar detalles que tal vez pasaban desapercibidos para la mayoría. Son muchas fotos las que me gustaría compartirles, he seleccionado solo alguna de ellas, con seguridad haré otras publicaciones, por ahora espero que puedan descubrir en ellas mucho de lo que yo logré apreciar, que viajen conmigo, que me acompañen en la travesía a través de estas imágenes, y si no, pues nada, yo puedo volver encantada y hacer nuevas tomas 😉❤️
