Selfies: Exploring the Depth of the Female Beauty and Personality [ENG/ESP]

A few years ago, I became interested in portrait photography. Modern selfies have become a popular form of self-expression and I've noticed that carefully designed and edited images not only show our physical appearance, but also our personality and style. As a photographer, I am always looking for ways to capture the best in my subjects and show it to the world.
In my collection of photographs, I have chosen the colour purple to convey a romantic and soft mood. For me, this colour symbolises transformation and creativity, which is reflected in the women whose faces appear in my selfies. These women don't smile, or smile very little, which to me shows that not all beauty is about smiling or following trends. Attitude and personality are also key.
My collection of 7 portraits includes women of all ages, from young women in their twenties to mothers with young children. Each portrait shows an aura of strength that is difficult to convey in immediate images like the ones we see on social media. Through these photographs, I wanted people to see beauty beyond what is shown on Instagram or Tik Tok, and by being present in my surroundings I realised how important feminine beauty is.
Hace unos años, comencé a interesarme en la fotografía de retrato. Las selfies modernas se han convertido en una forma popular de expresión personal y he notado que las imágenes cuidadosamente diseñadas y editadas no solo muestran nuestro aspecto físico, sino también nuestra personalidad y estilo. Como fotógrafo, siempre estoy buscando formas de capturar lo mejor en mis sujetos y mostrarlo al mundo.
En mi colección de fotografías, he elegido el color púrpura para transmitir un ambiente romántico y suave. Para mí, este color simboliza la transformación y la creatividad, lo que se refleja en las mujeres cuyas caras aparecen en mis selfies. Estas mujeres no sonríen, o lo hacen muy poco, para mí, esto demuestra que no toda la belleza está en la sonrisa o en seguir las tendencias. La actitud y la personalidad también son fundamentales.
Mi colección de 7 retratos incluye mujeres de todas las edades, desde jóvenes de veintitantos años hasta madres con hijos pequeños. Cada retrato muestra un aura de fuerza que es difícil de transmitir en imágenes inmediatas como las que vemos en las redes sociales. A través de estas fotografías, quería que las personas vieran la belleza más allá de lo que se muestra en Instagram o Tik Tok, y estando presente en mi entorno me di cuenta de lo importante que es la belleza femenina.
The women in my collection of modern selfies are strong and authentic. They are not the "pretty girl" archetype that is usually shown on social media. They are real women, with real stories, and their beauty doesn't just come from their eyes or their hair, but from their unique personalities.
Recently, I found myself looking through my collection of portraits and was surprised by how excited I was to see these women's faces once again. I realized how much pride I took in creating each of these images and how much I learned from each of the women I photographed. Each experience left me with a sense of inspiration for the unique beauty that each woman possesses.
Through portrait photography, I have learned that beauty is everywhere, and that capturing and sharing it is a wonderful gift. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to see the beauty of what is true and authentic, that which transcends what is on display. Also, this is my first post on Liketu, and I couldn't think of a better one than this tribute to women in general.
Las mujeres de mi colección de selfies modernas son fuertes y auténticas. No son el arquetipo de "chica bonita" que se muestra usualmente en las redes sociales. Son mujeres reales, con historias reales, y su belleza no solo proviene de sus ojos o de su cabello, sino de su personalidad única.
Hace poco, me encontré viendo mi colección de retratos y me sorprendió la emoción que sentí al ver las caras de estas mujeres una vez más. Me di cuenta de cuánto orgullo sentí al crear cada una de esas imágenes y cuánto aprendí de cada una de las mujeres que fotografié. Cada experiencia me dejó una sensación de inspiración por la belleza única que cada mujer posee.
A través de la fotografía de retrato, he aprendido que la belleza está en todas partes, y que capturarla y compartirla es un regalo maravilloso. Siempre estaré agradecido por tener la oportunidad de ver la belleza de lo que es verdadero y auténtico, eso que trasciende lo que se exhibe a priori. Además, esta es mi primera publicación en Liketu, y no se me ocurrió una mejor que este homenaje a las mujeres en general.

There's an edge to the images. Definitely not the traditional archetype that we constantly see on social media. The difference is a bit like night and day. These images look more authentic. Great shots :)
