Day 7 of my family beach vacation to Seaside Heights, NJ
Our final day at the beach arrived. We had some not-so-good weather on Friday too, so we didn't get to follow our usual routine. In fact, we did not go down to the beach at all this day due to the fact that it was cloudy and on the edge of rain all day. None of us wanted to sit on the beach during that, especially since it was also windy.
Just because we didn't go to the beach doesn't mean we failed to leave the house. Around lunchtime, we ventured down to the boardwalk to try some more different types of food. I ate empanadas and fried plantains. My mom had a fruit bowl. My dad and brother both got overpriced "gourmet" mac and cheese. We filled our stomachs and then wondered what we would do next.
We came home and some of us started packing while others relaxed outside on the porch enjoying the cool weather. The dogs were happy to have us around as most days they were stuck waiting at home for us to get back from the beach.
Before we knew it, dinner time had arrived. It may seem like all we did was eat on this day, but we had plenty of conversation too don't worry. We all just happen to love food.
For dinner, we went back to Klee's Irish Pub and this time was able to order entrees since it was dinner instead of lunch hours. It was extremely busy when we got there but our 45-minute wait for a table turned into only 10 minutes.
My dad and I both ordered a mushroom Swiss burger. My mom and brother both got oyster appetizers. For their meals, my mom had chicken pot pie and my brother ordered meatloaf. Everything was delicious and it was a fantastic final meal for us on this trip.
It was starting to get dark when we finished eating and we didn't find much else to get into. I guess we were all ready to be back home as we had just spent a full week doing all sorts of fun things together.
We settled upon one final movie to watch together and it turned out to be pretty great. It was a film starring mostly Asian actors called Joy Ride. I thought it was going to be a chick flick, but that was not the case. It was filled with overly sexual humor and racism. If you know me, that's the thing that always makes me laugh. You can tell from the opening scene of this film that it is going to be full of hilarious moments.
That was the conclusion of our family vacation to Seaside Heights, NJ. It was my only vacation this summer and one of the best trips in a long time. I'm very thankful for my awesome family and the fact that we all get along so well under the same roof still. Thanks, everyone for checking out all of my vacation posts from this past week.

Good to see you were still able to have some fun without going to the beach. The weather is not that good in many places around the world, idk much about climate but it’s changing compared to the past these days. Maybe even faster and more extreme than we’ve encountered before.
Eating out is fun too and it’s good your family can get together for this great adventure. It’s one I would want to see myself embark on when I have my own immediate family.
It’s always somehow sad to see vacation come to an end but that just means it’s time to get back to work. I bet it was fun while it lasted. Have a great day ahead and I wish you a safe journey back home whenever you be leaving the seaside.

I'm happy that we had 6 good days of weather and only the final day was dreary.
I try to not let myself get too sad over the fact that my vacation is over. I have a nice life to come back to and my family is around thankfully.

Nice bro. I was there on Saturday August 5th. We spent the whole day there the wife and I. We even did the tour for the jersey shore apartment. I asked if they would mind if me and the wife went into the smoosh room, nope not allowed lol. It was awesome for me. Wish I had more time there. Only thing I didn't like and I understand why was we had to pay to go on the beach. We stayed longer in Newark and Atlantic city.
That's wild! Just missed you. I left on August 5th actually. We didn't do the tour, but that sounds like something my family would have enjoyed. I didn't watch the show much at all. That beach did have a lot of rules, but at least it was well-kept and safe.

It's good , inspite of fetching bad weather, enjoyment outdoor didn't stop. Recently I had no vacation. With your day to day descriptions being at the beach and cool photos and the hilourous unclad man, all were very enjoyable..
