ON THE MONOCHROME ROAD

In this opening photograph, you can take a look at Motovun. This old town appeared in quite a few of my old posts, but this is the first black & white portrait of the settlement on the top of the hill. I have to drive about 80 kilometers to get there.

Here you can see an old house in Shikichi, a small village five or six kilometers from my hometown.

This shot was taken in the center of the town called Draguch. This old town isn't far from Motovun. Also about 80 - 90 kilometers north of my hometown.

This is the small church of St. Quirinus. It was photographed about 25 - 30 kilometers north of my hometown.

Here you can take a look at the church's interior.

This is the town hall palace of Vodnjan. Vodnjan is a small town situated 20 kilometers north of where I live.

Here you can take a look at Rovinj, the small city on the western coast of Istra, about 50 kilometers from Medulin, the small seaside town in which I live.

Here you can see some old palaces in Rovinj.

Here you can see the ruins of Dvigrad. Dvigrad is an abandoned town that was abandoned long ago, in medieval times. I have to drive about 50 kilometers to get there.

This is a detail from the village called Pichan. You can see the remains of an old building on the main square. Pichan is situated about 70 kilometers north of my hometown.
In this post, you'll see (or you just saw) some black & white scenes I collected on my ramblings around Istra, the peninsula where I live. And that's it. In the caption under each photograph, you can find some information about the places.
AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

The town hall palace picture is so beautiful. Clouds look beautiful in this picture 🤩
Nice shots, for the town all, it's looking very beautiful and also for the old buildings you shared they are still looking so good as ever
The structure of this Town is old like the old times and takes my memories of the ottoman empire. Have you seen the Turkey Historical Drama Series Ertugrul?
Awesome captures @borjan 😎 love the monochrome.
The cart with ladder and planks in the shade is such a beautiful capture. Wow.
Thanks for sharing 👋🏻😊 have a lovely evening!
I really like the pic with the cart full of ladders - it really looks ye-olde-worldy !

Awesome photography back & white⚽
Black and white photos look great , all photos look amazing , but I love 6 .
I wish you a happy day
That was a beautiful town. It seems the buildings covered the entire hill.
Lovely pics as always bro...
Would be great for movies... Especially the ruins 😀
I remember the town un colour. I do like the black and white, it adds to the age of the town. Like something form an old fairytale 🍀 lovely!

You have beautiful and gigantic buildings in your home town. Some of them are old too. Old but golden
