A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO IN VODNJAN
This is the road that leads to the main square. I didn't walk till there, the main square. After taking this photograph ...
... I continued through the labyrinth of short, narrow side streets not far from that long narrow road that ends in the center of Vodnjan.
Here you can see a detail of the building introduced in the previous photographs.
Here, among some other old buildings, you can also see the small Church of St. Cross from the 15th century.
Not far from the church, I stopped to photograph some smaller details of the neighboring houses. The line of lions on the garden wall and some lovely plants in one of the windows.
Here you can see an old house with a fresh new facade.
After some more walking, I came across these old faded traffic signs.
The old building shown in this photograph was fairly recently decorated with graffiti.
This photograph was taken on the way back to the car, on the same road that started the post.
I took only one more photograph before entering the car. You can see it here. And that's it. This short journey ends here.
I had to buy some stuff in the city today. The city in question is Pula, the nearest one to the place where I live. Little less than ten kilometers from Medulin, my hometown. I took some photographs there but you won't see them in this post. Here you can see some stuff photographed in Vodnjan, a small town situated ten kilometers north of the city. I visited some friends there, we walked a bit around the narrow streets of the old town, and I took some photographs along the way.

That was like taking a journey to another time and place ... I almost expected the music of the 19th century to start playing, freshly written (I know we can't hear a picture, but still).

These walks through town is so nostalgic, your town is prettier tho but it brings peace especially that your town is less crowded🤗🤗

I love the little church. It looks tiny now., but I bet it was a big deal for the community when they built it all those years ago - would love to see what it looks like inside !
