(Photos of my property taken with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 phone.)

When the strict confinement began because of COVID-19 a little more than two and a half years ago, I belonged to one of the economic sectors that did not stop because they were considered basic to society. So I had to commute about seven kilometers on my bicycle to get to my place of work. Things had changed a lot at that time. There were very few vehicles passing by, so I started to ride this national road in a different way, for example, on the opposite way. I took some pictures showing how wasteful some parts were, evidencing that our lives had changed radically.

Looking through my phone's gallery I came across these pictures. I have some more. But these belong to some afternoons when I was riding home on my bicycle after a day's work. It was the month of March 2020. And seeing in them the streets, the light, my attire, my biosecurity and my eyes, I can remember how we lived those moments. Now, though at a different stage of the pandemic, some things are back on track. Of course, already these roads are regaining the vehicular volume they once had. The situation has changed again.

I think we have passed a tough test. We have grown as people. We have a better appreciation for some basic things. We are taking fewer things for granted. We're better prepared now. For what? Well...
