Nighttime Glows.

Happy Sunday friends, I warmly welcome you back to my blog. Hope you're doing well? It's been all good here, God be praised. We're almost at the end of the month of June and I hope you are anticipating the new month. I'm highly optimistic that July would bring me good tidings. June was great, July would be awesome. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Capturing night photos can be a lot of fun, you know. With a nice device, one can create stunning images that capture the beauty of the night.

Although I'm not a fan of night movements, but situation can demand going out in the night, just as it has been for me recently.

So last night, while waiting at the road - along Obikabia road, Aba, to pick a ride to the hospital, I captured some stunning photos which are a mix of artificial and natural light plus the hustle and bustle of the road. The road was alive with light coming from vehicle headlights, street lights and buildings.

The shop, with its bright lights illuminating the road is a popular spot for groceries and essentials, and it's known as "Nwanyị Low Cut Shop". I guess you're wondering why the name "Nwanyị Low Cut." 😅 Well, the owner rocks a low cut hairstyle and decided to use it for her shop's name.

Here, it's a thing for shop owners to use their aliases or nicknames as business names. It adds a personal touch, sort of, don't you think?

The flickering flame in the photo is coming from a small shop beside that of Nwanyị low cuts. It's another spot for essentials especially fresh food produce. So the owner was cooking over an open fire.

Foods cooked with firewood tastes just better", or so the elders say - no arguing this. Try party jellof rice cooked with firewood and you'll understand what I'm talking about. Oh, my guilty pleasure.🤣

The glow of the headlights from the passing vehicles added to the night's vibe.

But some drivers can be really inconsiderate. Arrghhh! It's like they think they're the only ones on the road, putting their headlights on full beam. It's really a challenge for light sensitive individuals like me to move about at night. It wouldn't hurt if they just dim their headlights a bit? It's not too much to ask, is it?

Enough of my ranting. 😂 Thank you for reading.

Part jollof rice makes sense when cooked with firewood. It is not a lie.
