On this occasion, I was visiting a great friend. We were talking with his family about the events and tragedies our country, Venezuela, has been going through lately, when I noticed the sunset; it was so bright and orange that I decided to photograph it before it disappeared.

I took some photos from the balcony, but it didn't feel like enough, so I ran out to the main avenue to take more. People were staring at me, but all I cared about was getting a great shot to remember this sunset. I took several photos from the street... I liked these last ones much more.

​I find it incredible how, in such bleak days following the earthquakes, nature sometimes offers us spectacles like these sunsets—a sky that provides hope amidst so much tragedy.

These haven't been easy days, but I will always leave a small space in my life to photograph nature.

En esta oportunidad, me encontraba visitando a un gran amigo. Estábamos conversando con su familia sobre los acontecimientos y las tragedias que ha vivido nuestro país, Venezuela, últimamente, cuando me fijé en el atardecer: era tan brillante y anaranjado que decidí fotografiarlo antes de que desapareciera.

Tomé algunas fotos desde el balcón de la casa, pero no me pareció suficiente, así que salí corriendo hacia la avenida principal para capturar más imágenes. La gente se me quedaba viendo, pero a mí solo me importaba lograr una buena fotografía para recordar este momento. Tomé varias fotos desde la calle y, sinceramente, estas últimas me gustaron mucho más.
​Me parece increíble cómo, en días tan aciagos tras los terremotos, la naturaleza a veces nos brinda espectáculos como estos atardeceres; un cielo que nos ofrece esperanza en medio de tanta tragedia.
​Aunque he tomado miles de fotos de atardeceres, creo que este ha sido uno de los mejores. Si no me creen, chequen mi perfil y confírmenlo ustedes mismos.

No han sido días fáciles, pero siempre dejaré un pequeño espacio en mi vida para fotografiar la naturaleza.
