See in light and shadow - Monomad Challenge

I remember that when I started out in photography, I used to take a lot of landscape photos. So whenever I went to mountains, beaches, or places with a lot of nature, I took the time to capture every scene I saw. But then there were times when I wanted to experiment with other themes, such as portraits, and in some ways, some street photography, but exclusively of street events. But at some point, I became interested in shadows and the contrast created by strong lights. Of course, during those sunny days, they were perfect.

Of course, I began to experiment with approaches I hadn't previously paid much attention to, such as the incidence of the sun and how it influences shadows in certain scenes, or also the contrast of shadows with human subjects. I also used certain environments to my advantage to create certain compositions. This point is important. You can use white walls or walls that are almost like large light bouncers where you can create backlighting for certain subjects. That way, I usually take advantage of certain scenes, although, of course, the duration of the sun's reflection on that wall depends on the time of day. Therefore, here I leave you this series where I express with images a bit of what I was talking about earlier: it's a whole universe where one seeks to capture that contrast between shadows, motifs, and surroundings.

All photographs are my own.

These photos would not be the same in color. The shadows and the black and white give it a special and perfect touch.
