Weekend Night Portraiture with Magret. 5 Photos

This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes.

Greetings everyone in the community. I hope you guys are all doing great. Today I want to share another series of black and white portraiture of Magret. This was an outdoor photoshoot that being organized by one of my photography friend. Magret was previously a model in our company, but she already finished her contract with the company before I joined them. So it was our first time meeting with each other. She is a happy go lucky person and I enjoyed a lot during our portraiture session.

Meet Magret, this is her headshot photo. It was taken on a very low light situation. I had to slow down my shutter speed more than I usually do. 1/20 and I had to hold my breath and steadily press the shutter button. The result really impressed me. I had a very sharp image with the setting and thanks to the advanced technology in the mirrorless digital camera.

This was the place that we went for a photoshoot. It was the walkway just beside a nearby hotel.

It was a very challenging photoshoot for me. It was because I rarely do a night portraiture. It took me some time to dial the setting that were good in exposure, especially the lighting on her face. But I am satisfied with the final images. Mostof them are good and in focus. Other images was miss focused because of the shallow depth of field plus the low light situation during this photoshoot session.

This image was taken with an external strobe. My friend set his strobe and I took the opportunity to use his flash to get some photos with an external lighting. The photo turns out great. I love the separation that it made with all the light and uneven exposure at the background.

This was her chilling while waiting for the next pose and place. She was sitting and looking onto the mall just on the opposite of the road. This was our last place for the night photoshoot before we all went back and goes to our separate ways. It was a good experience doing this kind of photoshoot during the night. I think I might do this kind of portraiture regularly to gain more experience and to make me more comfortable doing a photoshoot in this type of situation.

And that is all from me today. I hope that you guys enjoy my post. Until we meet again on my next post. Have a very amazing day and stay safe my friends. Cheers!

such a beautiful photoshoot my friend. The walkway turns into a very good venue for the shot.
1/20 shutter speed, I guess I will produce a blurry result for that shutter speed.

Thank you so much my friend. Thanks to the new camera in body stabilization technology I can shoot at 1/20 shutter speed. If I am using my old DSLR I never shoot below 1/125 😅

I love the composite of these ones. A lot of detail and prep has to be done before taking any shots on nighttime.

Great results!
