A Monomad Sunday walk . .

Yesterday we went for a walk again in a for us new area , i discoverd this forrest while exploring google maps .

And since the wife had no longer eyesight issues from the injection she had in her eye last Friday we went for a nice walk .

The weather looked like it was going to rain at any given moment , so hardly any blue sky or sunshine .

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

The first thing i spotted when i got out of tha car was this Burl on the birch tree. for those that don'tknow what a burl is : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burl wikipedia has a nice story about it.

1 )

2 ) A single railtrack and from the look of it hardly used anymore, and so a great option for a longdistance view photo.

3 ) Probably used for industrial transportation , here the track goes underneath one of our highways A28 .

4 ) Old mushrooms growing on an old dead tree

5 ) The Rowan tree was flowering

6 )Mother duck with 6 ducklings

7 ) A view i would like to use on a sunny day with some clouds for timelaps photography .

8 ) and this is the view downstream.

9 ) one dead hollow beech tree

10 ) The road back to the car again

11 ) Another dead beech tree with mushrooms on it .
It's good to see that not all dead tree are removed from the forrest and that nature can go it's own way .Looking forward to vist this area again with better lighting conditions and later in the year with the mushroom season in autumn.
