Beneath her eyes, a thousand layers

Female portraits always move me, because I see so much in every gaze, in every woman portrayed. I see layers. Endless submerged layers.
These were taken in 2013, in an abandoned house. Just a bit more from the photo series I’ve been sharing here with you recently.
I love the mystery and the poetry behind these photos, the documentary feel (though it was all directed by me).
I love how they echo inside me, how they feel like a mirror of my own soul.
I hope you enjoy these images, as they are my entry for today’s #monomad challenge.
