The magic of the rain on the skin | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!

Yesterday I shared some photos taken in the rain, and today I want to revisit them from a new perspective—transforming them into black and white, which, as you know, is one of my favorite styles in the art of photography.

I hadn't told you: these photos were taken at dusk—almost in the gloom—while it was pouring rain, and the darkness, caused by the countrywide power outage, enveloped us as we contemplated something so sublime.

I have always been someone who tries to find the light, even where there is barely any to be found. That is why I choose to let the sadness flow, to transform it, and to focus on the beauty of the moment—on the gifts the rain offers us through its dance with the leaves, fruit, branches, and blossoms of the trees; and even on the contrast of those fallen flowers resting upon the rocks, remaining subtly beautiful.

If you compare these photos with the previous ones, you might well agree on the infinite wealth of vibrations produced by the interplay of light and its varying gradients.

The force with which these water droplets slide along leads me to imagine something similar, yet upon the skin of a beloved woman—offering her the gift of life in the sighs of a caress.

Droplets falling into the void—yet possessing a life of their own, yielding nothing, and reflecting the obvious from new perspectives—transform into something more than mere droplets falling into the void.

The rain pauses, yet its effect lingers—like something loath to vanish...

I sigh again and smile, saying goodbye for now until the next black-and-white frame—but not without first sending each of you a hug of light!

This is my entry to the #monomad contest from @monochromes and @brumest.

Thank you very much for your visit!

Excelente trabajo.
