Photographing inanimate objects is something I do regularly. Especially when I have no idea how they got there, who put them there... or why. That's how a chair hanging on the wall really caught my attention. Or an old lock with a curious inhabitant. Or also an old camera hanging in a bar in Old Havana, adorning a scribbled wall.

How many pictures must that camera have taken? How many people must have sat on that old chair? Objects that are at the end of their useful life, if they could talk, how much history would they tell us.

I hope you like this little series. I read them.

Fotografiar objetos inanimados es algo que hago habitualmente. Sobre todo cuando no tengo idea de cómo llegaron ahí, quién los puso… o por qué. Así fue como una silla colgada en la pared llamó mucho mi atención. O una cerradura vieja con un curioso habitante. O también una antigua cámara colgada en un bar de La Habana Vieja, adornando una pared garabateada.

¿Cuántas fotos habrá hecho esa cámara? ¿Cuántas personas se habrán sentado en esa silla vieja? Los objetos que están al final de su vida útil, si pudieran hablar, cuánta historia nos contarían.
