After the Last Shift / #monomad challenge / [ING/ESP]

Today I’m going to share photos from a project carried out by a group of friends, which allowed me to open my mind to a social issue that had gone unnoticed, at least for me.

@muhammadhalim, who initiated the project, told us about a sugar mill in a town near his home that was one day dismantled. This caused the town to literally come to a halt, as it depended entirely on that mill. It was powerful to see how, even if only for a few moments, those men were filled with joy as they remembered what had been their livelihood for decades.

Little by little I will be sharing part of my work from that day. I hope you like it.

Hoy les voy a compartir fotos de un proyecto que llevamos a cabo un grupo de amigos y que me permitió abrir la mente hacia un problema social que hasta ahora había pasado desapercibido, al menos para mí.

@muhammadhalim, quien fue el impulsor del proyecto, planteó que en un pueblo cerca de su casa existía un central azucarero que un día fue desmantelado. Esto provocó que literalmente el pueblo se detuviera, ya que dependía en su totalidad de ese central. Fue muy impactante ver cómo, por unos instantes, esos hombres se llenaban de alegría al recordar lo que fue su medio de vida durante décadas.

Poco a poco les iré compartiendo parte de mi trabajo ese día. Espero que les guste.
