Some captures around Berlin 🇩🇪 (Entry to #monomad Challenge)

As I started my fresh photographic tour around Berlin, it welcomed me with its distinctive combination of history and vibrant urban energy. Through my camera lens, I once again found little nooks and happenings that define the unique pace of this metropolis.

Among the photographs I snapped, one shows several people walking in front of a stall nearly to open, adorned with garlands and lights. Currywurst and cold beer permeates the atmosphere.

Another picture stands out for the vibrant, energetic mood of a fair right in Berlin's core. Laughs mingles with music and the chatter of many languages—evidence of Berlin's variety. People's faces display happiness and amazement.

There is also a subdued shot of a tree-lined pathway for people. Gentle light pierces the trees to accentuate shadows and patterns above the ancient cobblestones. Berlin appears to be a stop; some stroll slowly, some lost in thought, all encircled by that green canopy offering a longer journey.

Further on, I found a lively, friendly moment in front of the solemn Nikolaikirche church. Two young girls lightly cross the square, flashing smiles and looks as the venerable museum and church majestically loom behind them. Their youthful energy and the tranquil presence of the old buildings capture a major aspect of Berlin's attitude: where past and current coexist.

I stood at the bottom of the Bayer Complex structure as well since I wanted to capture the fortitude of modern architecture. The building climbs remarkably towards the sky from a low angle, its crisp and powerful lines emphasized by the morning light. As if the building links earth and sky, the glass mirrors bits of sky and surroundings.

Finally, a more personal scene wrapped up my photo day: a young worker finally resting beside his kiosk after a long day. In the quiet, he looks at the space that was full of life moments before and now is calm in the evening. After great effort, this is a moment of satisfaction—a much needed rest from the relentless pace of the city.

Every picture, every story, gives Berlin another hue. A city of contrasts, gatherings, and frozen instants just ready to be viewed by the viewer's eyes.

Hola hiver!

Al comenzar mi nuevo recorrido fotográfico por Berlín, la ciudad me recibió con su característica mezcla de historia y una vibrante energía urbana. A través de mi lente, volví a descubrir rincones y momentos que definen el ritmo único de esta metrópoli.

Entre las fotografías que tomé, una muestra a varias personas caminando frente a un puesto que está a punto de abrir, adornado con guirnaldas y luces. El aroma a currywurst y cerveza fría impregna el ambiente.

Otra imagen destaca por el ambiente vibrante y enérgico de una feria justo en el corazón de Berlín. Las risas se mezclan con la música y el murmullo de muchos idiomas — prueba de la variedad berlinesa. Los rostros de la gente reflejan felicidad y asombro.

También hay una toma más tranquila de un camino arbolado para peatones. Una luz suave atraviesa los árboles para resaltar las sombras y los dibujos sobre los antiguos adoquines. Berlín parece detenerse; algunos pasean despacio, otros están perdidos en sus pensamientos, todos envueltos bajo ese dosel verde que invita a prolongar el paseo.

Más adelante, encontré un momento animado y amigable frente a la solemne iglesia Nikolaikirche. Dos jóvenes cruzan la plaza con pasos ligeros, intercambiando sonrisas y miradas mientras el venerable museo y la iglesia se alzan majestuosos tras ellas. La energía juvenil y la presencia tranquila de los viejos edificios capturan un aspecto fundamental de la esencia berlinesa: donde pasado y presente coexisten.

También me situé al pie del edificio del Complejo Bayer, pues quería captar la fortaleza de la arquitectura moderna. El edificio se eleva notablemente hacia el cielo desde un ángulo bajo, sus líneas claras y poderosas resaltadas por la luz matutina. Como si el edificio conectara tierra y cielo, sus cristales reflejan fragmentos del cielo y el entorno.

Finalmente, una escena más personal cerró mi día de fotos: un joven trabajador descansando junto a su kiosco después de una larga jornada. En la quietud, observa el espacio que momentos antes estuvo lleno de vida y que ahora se ha calmado con el atardecer. Tras un gran esfuerzo, este es un momento de satisfacción, un merecido descanso del ritmo imparable de la ciudad.

Cada imagen, cada historia, le añade un nuevo matiz a Berlín. Una ciudad de contrastes, encuentros y momentos congelados que esperan ser vistos por los ojos del observador.
