| MONOMAD | Sensualidad del cocotero y unos pensamientos

For days I have been looking at the sensuality of the coconut tree, but also its tightness. So today... today was different. He just happened to be looking at me with that cute way to tell me, don't you look so dwarfed to be always deciding what to do with my... coconuts? And then he dropped one of its gifts next to me as a warning.

Hace días que vengo observando la sensualidad del cocotero, pero también su tirantez. Mas hoy… hoy fue distinto. Resulta que estaba mirándome con esa manera tan bonita que tiene para decirme, ¿no te ves muy enana tú para estar decidiendo siempre qué hacer con mis… cocos? Y al momento dejó caer uno de sus regalos a mi lado como una advertencia.

I had to smile at him. I went into the house, grabbed my camera and with a (benevolent) attitude started shooting bursts of photos and thoughts.

Tuve que sonreírle. Entré a la casa, agarré mi cámara y con una actitud (benevolente) le empecé a disparar ráfagas de fotos y de pensamientos.

Then I drank his coconut. And I also grated its dough to use it in some exotic food. What are you going to do with this dwarf now?, I asked.

Luego me bebí su coco y también rallé la masa para usarla en alguna comida exótica. ¿Y ahora qué vas a hacer con esta enana?, le pregunté.

It's haughty. Tensed its beautiful leaves and while the wind whispered and played between the empty spaces, I discovered that it didn't need to talk.

Es altanero. Tensó sus hermosas hojas y mientras el viento le susurraba y jugueteaba entre los espacios vacíos, descubrí que no necesitaba hablar.

A blanket of stars and a whimsical moon for his nights...

and time has been making divine tattoos on his body.

y el tiempo le ha ido haciendo divinos tatuajes en su cuerpo.

He rejoices when the rain falls and mortifies me, yes. But surprises me with exquisite gifts too... he always surprises me.

Se alegra cuando cae la lluvia y me mortifica, sí. Pero me sorprende con exquisitos regalos… siempre me sorprende.

This is my entry for the #Monomad Challenge and it goes with a bonus photo. I was astonished by this landscape that I captured right from the side of the coconut tree. It looks like both have some kind of connection. Take a good look.
