Monomad: Self-portraits between light and shadows [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

It's funny that I had a year on Hive and had hardly shared any photos of myself, since I've never been interested in modeling at all, but I set out this year to do different things by using myself as a model and taking advantage of certain moments of solitude to make interesting portraits.

Es curioso que tuviese un año en Hive y casi no había compartido algunas fotografías sobre mí, puesto que nunca me ha interesado del todo ser modelo, pero me propuse este año hacer cosas diferentes usándome a mí mismo como modelo y aprovechando ciertos momentos de soledad para realizar retratos interesantes.

No doubt taking portraits of yourself has a tricky point when you don't quite know what's coming out of the camera, but once you find the ideal spot to position yourself the situation becomes more fun, because you know that's where your real work starts to make something interesting.

Sin dudas hacerte retratos a ti mismo tiene un punto bastante complicado cuando no sabes del todo lo que está saliendo en cámara, pero una vez que encuentras el punto ideal para posicionarte la situación se torna más divertida, porque sabes que es donde tu verdadero trabajo empieza para hacer algo interesante.

These self-portraits are more than a test, they seem to me more like the beginning of trying to be myself the protagonist of photographs, I honestly feel like putting together complete scenarios and being myself the protagonist, it seems to me something interesting, a great challenge, but it's always good to get out of the comfort zone.

Estos autorretratos son más que una prueba, me parecen más el comienzo de intentar ser yo mismo el protagonista de fotografías, honestamente tengo ganas de armar escenarios completos y ser yo mismo quien sea el protagonista, me parece algo interesante, un gran reto, pero siempre es bueno salir de la zona de confort.
