Shooting Outside My Comfort Zone./ Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Psychologists say it’s a good idea to step outside your comfort zone, take on new challenges, and venture into the unknown. That’s the path I intend to follow, and I’m happy to report that I’ve already taken my first steps.

Dicen los psicólogos que es buena idea salir de la zona de confort, asumir nuevos retos y caminar a lo desconocido. Por ese camino pretendo ir, y les comento que ya di mis primeros pasos.

Havana has many neighborhoods that stand the test of time, some more frequently photographed than others. What did I do? I ventured into one of them (Plaza de la Revolución Neighborhood), where I hadn’t worked before.

La Habana tiene muchos barrios que trascienden el tiempo, algunos más fotografiados que otros. ¿Qué hice? Incursioné en uno de ellos (Barrio Plaza de la Revolución), en el cual no había trabajado antes.

Always on the lookout, since it was a new place, I took some precautions; you shouldn’t tempt fate.

Siempre a la expectativa, al ser un lugar nuevo tomé algunas medidas de precaución; no se puede tentar al mal.

I thought it was a good idea to mix things up to bring you fresh images, so I explored new territories in search of stories.

Creí oportuna la idea de variar para traerles imágenes frescas, y así exploraba nuevos territorios en busca de historias.

Always staying true to the same concept: daily life, everyday routines, street art, and anything else worth documenting.

Siempre marcando el mismo concepto: vida diaria, cotidianidad, arte callejero y todo lo que resultase interesante documentar.
