Today the town, literally, woke up wrapped in wisps of fog that drifted through the streets with a certain capricious intermittence; and you know that I love photographing the streets when the weather is like this. It does not matter that I have seen it happen during the 55 years of my life; I, in some way, remain that boy who was amazed to feel the dew drops on his eyebrows and eyelashes, who laughed with the steam coming out of his mouth when exhaling the air and it meeting the morning freshness. And today, the streets were like that again: there were people who seemed to disappear into the density, and —of course— there were also dogs and cats, and even some birds against the light perching on cables and leafless trees, as if also admiring the streets where life began to pass slower than usual. And today, the photographs happened without effort; they were simply "there happening" and getting themselves through the camera lens to be kept there, with that simple magic of the everyday life writing tiny miracles...

Hoy el pueblo, literalmente, despertó envuelto en gajos de niebla que se paseaban por las calles con alguna intermitencia caprichosa; y ustedes saben que amo fotografiar las calles cuando el clima es así. No importa que lo haya visto ocurrir durante los 55 años de mi vida; yo, de alguna manera, sigo siendo el niño aquel que se asombraba al sentir las gotas de rocío en cejas y pestañas, que reía con el vapor saliendo de su boca al exhalar el aire y este encontrarse con el frescor matutino. Y hoy, las calles estaban así de nuevo: había personas que parecían desaparecer en la densidad, y —cómo no— también había perros y gatos, y hasta algunas aves a contraluz posándose en cables y árboles deshojados, como admirando también las calles en donde la vida comenzaba a transcurrir más lento que de costumbre. Y hoy, las fotografías sucedieron sin esfuerzo; simplemente estaban "allí ocurriendo" y metiéndose ellas mismas por el lente de la cámara para quedar allí guardadas, con esa magia simple de lo cotidiano escribiendo milagros pequeñitos...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
