STREET RECTANGLES - MONOMAD - PHOTOGRAPHY STORIES || ENG-ESP || (10 pics)

This is a relatively simple photography project; it consists of some street photos that convey the feeling of what I call "just passing by and taking a look." I named this small series of photos "street rectangles" because, almost unconsciously, I started selecting photos taken vertically and ended up cropping them into horizontal rectangles with a 4:3 aspect ratio. I like to do things like this from time to time and practice my compositional cropping skills, since I usually compose my photos in-camera, but sometimes, like today, I like to do it by cropping... So, please continue reading this post and enjoy looking at these everyday street scenes that I've brought to share with you today here on #Hive...

Obviously, given that it's me sitting in my small studio cropping street photographs, you can't expect the results, in terms of composition and rules, to be entirely orthodox. So, in this selection, there are a few blatant liberties taken that defy visual conventions. But that's the nature of street photography: it's not predictable, nor very susceptible to adhering to logic, but rather something instinctive...

It gives me the feeling that I am watching scenes from a black and white film, a film that tells the story of a city on the move, of making and travelling, of people and their customs, as well as of the social and the home. A film but made in photography and I really liked the 4:3 framing you gave it, it's a different style but this type of street photography looks spectacular. You managed to capture the people in the comings and goings of their lives. I like that a lot.
Maybe it's an unusual composition, but it's harmonious and tells a story, one of your steps in relation to the people. I loved it! A big hug and have a beautiful day.🤗

Thanks as always for your visit and motivating comment, @avdesing friend!... Yes, lately I've been finding that 4:3 aspect ratio very interesting for documentary-style street photography. It also seems very suitable for sharing images that will be viewed on both mobile phones and regular monitors... Thanks again and have a happy and productive #Hive week! 😀♦️👍
