Hello #Hive Black and White friends!... In the last days, here we simply "got a break from the rain".... And then everyone seems to have gone a bit outside to just "be there"... And try to enjoy a few hours of dry weather...

Hola amigos del Blanco y Negro en #Hive... En días pasados, aquí simplemente "la lluvia nos dio un respiro"... Y entonces cada quien parece haber salido un poco al exterior a simplemente "estar allí"... Y procurar disfrutar un poco de algunas horas del clima seco...

So I also went out the door to take some photos and to observe the others a bit...

Entonces yo también salí por la puerta a hacer algunas fotos y a observar a los otros un poco...

"Two photos, one story"... I spent several minutes looking at both pictures and decided that I liked both of them and that they complemented each other... I took these photos from a country road, a couple of children around their house... The younger one plays tirelessly, while his older sister uses an old cooler as her "desk" to do her homework...

"Dos fotos, una historia"... Estuve varios minutos observando ambas fotografías y decidí que ambas me gustaban y se complementaban entre sí... Tomé estas fotos desde un camino rural, son un par de niños alrededor de su casa... El más pequeño juega incansablemente, mientras su hermana mayor usa un viejo enfriador como su "escritorio" para hacer sus tareas escolares...

"Javier stealing Wi-Fi"... Ha ha ha ha... :-) This is Javier, an old friend... I shot this photo from a distance so he wouldn't notice... As I passed by him I asked him: Javier, what are you doing sitting there?... And he answered: "Stealing my nephew's Wi-Fi signal"... Ha ha ha ha... :))

"Javier robando Wi-Fi"... Ha ha ha... :-) Este es Javier, un viejo amigo... Disparé esta foto de lejos para que él no se percatase... Al pasar a su lado le pregunte: ¿Javier, que haces allí sentado?... Y él contestó: "Robando la señal del Wi-Fi de mi sobrino"... Ha ha ha... :))

"No more barbershop"... Carlos has decided to close his barbershop and has returned to his lifelong profession: Repairing stringed musical instruments!... The walls still have the barbershop's advertising on them, but "not any more" (in Carlos' own words)...

"No más barbería"... Carlos ha decidido clausurar su barbería y ha retornado a su oficio de toda la vida: ¡Reparar instrumentos musicales de cuerda!... Las paredes siguen teniendo la publicidad de la Barbería, pero ya no más (En palabras del propio Carlos)...

"Osorio's grocery store"... Behind these dilapidated walls, the Osorio family's grocery store, famous in many places for the corn buns they sold and produced there, has been in operation for generations... It all came to an end when the great food shortage of 2017... The authorities decided to confiscate the business' stock and its owner (the kindly Mr. Osorio) passed away soon after, as did his sweet wife... The descendants then migrated out of the country and left their possessions in the care of relatives to sell... This is a story that repeats itself a lot here...

"El abasto de los Osorio"... Detrás de estas paredes ruinosas, funcionaba desde hace generaciones, el abasto de la familia Osorio, famoso en muchos lugares por los bollos de maíz que vendían y producían allí... Todo acabó cuando la gran escasez de alimentos del 2017... Las autoridades decidieron confiscar las existencias del negocio y su propietario (El amable Sr. Osorio) falleció al poco tiempo, lo mismo aconteció a su dulce esposa... Entonces los descendientes migraron fuera del país y dejaron sus posesiones al encargo de familiares para la venta... Esta es una historia que se repite mucho aquí...

"Noon in peace".... Speechless... Gerardo, also known as "El Chuco", looks at his mobile phone leaning against the wall of his father's bar, which by the way is rarely visited on weekdays.

"Mediodía en paz".... Sin palabras... Gerardo, también conocido como "El Chuco", mira su teléfono móvil recostado de la pared del Bar de su padre, el cual por cierto es muy poco visitado los días de semana.

"Student"... I love this kind of pictures, I love this angle of capture, where I can conjugate a lot of elements in little space... These photos are embedded in a very special eloquence.

"Estudiante"... Amo este tipo de fotografías, amo este ángulo de captura, en donde puedo conjugar gran cantidad de elementos en poco espacio... Estas fotos están embebidas en una elocuencia muy especial.

"Old newspapers"... This is a very curious thing... It's been several years since I've seen any printed newspapers sold here... The economic crisis, the online news and the government's remarkable determination to close down newspapers, have caused almost all of them to cease to operate at a national level... However, this man in the photo, seems to keep reading over and over again the old newspapers and magazines he keeps at home...

"Periódicos viejos"... Esto sí es algo muy curioso... Hace varios años que no veo que se vendan diarios impresos por aquí... La crisis económica, las noticias en linea y el notable empeño del gobierno por cerrar los periódicos, han hecho que casi todos dejen de funcionar a nivel nacional... Sin embargo, este hombre en la foto, parece seguir leyendo una y otra vez los viejos periódicos y revistas que guarda en su casa...

"Optimism"... For heaven's sake!... Public services here have been working very badly for years, almost nobody pays for them... And no company has ever left a bill at the door!... So this mailbox is perhaps one of the most useless things in town... ;)

"Optimismo"... ¡Por todos los cielos!... Aquí hace años que los servicios públicos funcionan muy mal, casi nadie los paga... ¡Y nunca más ninguna compañía dejó una factura en una puerta!... Así que este buzón quizás sea una de las cosas más inútiles del pueblo... ;)

"Proof of Me"... Ha ha ha... This is me doing what I like to do the most... Wandering and taking pictures!.... That day I sneaked into a friend's old house and when I saw my reflection in a mirror, I took this picture... I stole a story from myself!... ;)

"Prueba de Mi"... Ha ha ha... Esta soy yó haciendo lo que más me gusta hacer... ¡Deambular y hacer fotos!... Ese día me colé en la vieja casa de un amigo y al ver mi reflejo en un espejo, disparé esta foto... ¡Me robé una historia a mi mismo!... ;)
