Yes, my photos today are the result of a random selection: Arriving at my small studio, sitting down, and wanting to isolate myself from everything around me while looking at photos. Not so much out of passion for this (which I have, certainly), but out of an inexplicable need to isolate myself from the environment; because today people are sounding strangely repetitive, inconceivably eloquent. Some take me by the shoulder to make me turn around and speak to me while looking into my eyes; others simply pass by and seem to want to move just not to be still: it is as if they needed the activity to feel alive. In contrast, today I woke up needing those silences of mine that never explain anything to me, but make me feel whole; because sometimes, I simply feel that the stillness completes me and makes me feel good. So that was why today I decided to escape into these four walls, close the door, and simply dedicate myself to selecting photographs and editing them without thinking about anything, trying to keep myself on the sidelines of that feverish activity that others today seem to exhibit, which, at least today, feels strange and a bit annoying to me...

Sí, mis fotos de hoy son el resultado de una selección aleatoria: Llegar a mi pequeño estudio, sentarme y querer aislarme de todo lo que me rodea mientras miro fotos. No tanto por apasionamiento a esto (que lo tengo, ciertamente), sino por una necesidad inexplicable de aislarme del entorno; porque hoy las personas están sonando extrañamente repetitivas, inconcebiblemente elocuentes. Algunas me toman del hombro para hacerme girar y hablarme mientras me miran a los ojos; otras, simplemente pasan y parecen estar queriendo moverse para no estar quietas: es como si necesitaran la actividad para sentirse vivas. En cambio yo, hoy amanecí necesitando esos silencios míos que nunca me explican nada, pero me hacen sentir pleno; porque algunas veces, simplemente siento que la quietud me completa y me hace sentir bien. Entonces fue por eso que hoy decidí escapar hacia estas cuatro paredes, cerrar la puerta y simplemente dedicarme a seleccionar fotografías y editarlas sin pensar en nada, procurando mantenerme al margen de esa febril actividad que hoy los otros parecen exhibir, la cual, cuando menos hoy, me resulta extraña y un poco molesta...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
