Yesterday afternoon, I appreciated more than ever being able to go out into my local streets and walk around taking photos, practically whenever I felt like it. I say this because yesterday was a difficult day, like almost every day lately here. Clients were late with their outstanding payments again, and we were practically without any new orders; the bricklayers working on repairing our roof (damaged by last week's earthquake) simply disappeared after going to lunch and didn't return for the rest of the afternoon; and to top it all off, from midday onwards, we were without electricity and communication again. So there was a moment, around 3:30 p.m., when I was about to give in to frustration and start shouting; But I learned many years ago that when I feel this bad, the best thing I can do is leave the house and let my bad mood dissipate by looking at what's happening outside. And if I do this with my camera in hand, the chances of returning home in a much better mood are practically 100%, and that's exactly what happened yesterday...

Durante la tarde de ayer, valoré más que nunca el hecho de poder salir a mis calles cercanas y caminar haciendo fotos, prácticamente en el momento en el que se me venga en gana. Lo digo porque ayer fue un día difícil, como casi todos últimamente aquí. Los clientes se atrasaron con los pagos pendientes de nuevo y prácticamente estábamos sin nuevos pedidos; los albañiles que están trabajando en la reparación de nuestro tejado (dañado por los efectos del sismo de la semana pasada) simplemente desaparecieron después de ir a almorzar y no volvieron durante el resto de la tarde y, para colmo, desde horas del mediodía estuvimos nuevamente sin electricidad y sin comunicaciones. Así que hubo un momento, cerca de las 3:30 p. m., cuando estuve a punto de dejarme llevar por la frustración y comenzar a vociferar; pero desde hace muchos años aprendí que, cuando me siento así de mal, lo mejor que puedo hacer es salir de casa y dejar que mi mal humor se diluya mirando lo que sucede afuera y, si esto lo hago con mi cámara en la mano, las posibilidades de retornar a casa de mucho mejor humor son prácticamente del 100 %, y así fue exactamente como ocurrió ayer...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
