Sometimes, when I'm looking through my recent photo archives, like today for example, I get the feeling that "not taking street photos in Montalbán" would be a real waste. And I say this because after about fifteen years of consistently doing this, I'm still amazed by everything I can find in this handful of streets, time and time again.

The story behind today's post for you here on #Hive can be summarized like this: I was busy early this morning and couldn't go out for a walk and take some photos. However, after I was free, I found a little time to go to my studio, sit down at my PC, and process some photos...

Algunas veces, cuando reviso en mis archivos de fotos recientes, como hoy por ejemplo, me da por pensar que el "no hacer fotos de calle en Montalbán" sería francamente un verdadero desperdicio. Y digo esto porque después de unos quince años haciendo esto consecuentemente, aún me sigue asombrando todo lo que puedo encontrar en este "puñado" de calles una y otra vez.

La historia de mi publicación de hoy para ustedes aquí en #Hive, puede resumirse así: Hoy estuve ocupado en horas tempranas y no pude salir a caminar y a hacer algunas fotos. Sin embargo, luego de desocuparme, encontré un poco de tiempo para ir a mi estudio, sentarme en frente mi PC y procesar algunas fotos...

Once I had selected the photographs, I decided to do it this way: "They would only be horizontal photographs, relatively wide shots of streets and not specific objects as I sometimes do, and they would be photographs from the almost three weeks that have passed this month of February, because I wanted something recent. And so I began to explore my archives and wow, I did find quite a few photographs to process, edit, and share!

Una vez seleccionando fotografías, decidí hacerlo de la siguiente manera: "Serían únicamente fotografías capturadas en horizontal, serían tomas relativamente amplias de calles y no objetos puntuales como algunas veces acostumbro hacer, y serían fotografías correspondientes a estas casi tres semanas que han pasado de este mes de Febrero, pues quería algo resiente. Y así comencé a explorar en mis archivos y ¡Wow, vaya que sí encontré unas cuantas fotografías para procesar, editar y compartir!...

What's interesting about this selection of photographs is that they all correspond to just a couple of days. I didn't have to go beyond that to find enough photos to relax, process, and edit them, and then put together this post. And in both cases, it was mornings when I only took walks of one to two hours. Besides the number of photos, you can also see how diverse the urban environment is in many of them. This gives you an idea of ​​the social complexity of this place and how it changes noticeably from one street to another.

Lo interesante de esta selección de fotografías es que todas corresponden a solo un par de días, no tuve que ir más allá de eso para encontrar suficientes fotos para relajarme procesando, editando y luego construir esta publicación. Y en ambos casos, se trató de mañanas en las cuales realicé caminatas de entre una y dos horas solamente. Además de la cantidad de fotos, pueden observar también ustedes cuan diverso es el entorno urbano entre muchas de ellas. Lo cual provee una idea de la complejidad social de este lugar y de como cambia de una calle a otra de manera perceptible.
