I know my town quite well; after all, I've always lived here and spent many years wandering its streets. Because of this, I understand that kind of apathetic calm you feel when most people are just going through the motions, let's say. I'm referring to those times when the town, its people in general, struggle to do more than what's strictly necessary to earn a living. It's not something that can be perfectly described, but it's definitely something you notice walking through the town on days like today...

Conozco mi pueblo bastante bien, después de todo, he vivido aquí siempre y además he estado muchos años deambulando en sus calles. Es debido a eso que entiendo esa especie de calma apática que se se percibe cuando la mayoría de las personas están viviendo digamos "por costumbre", me refiero a esos momentos en los que al pueblo, a su gente en general, le cuesta esfuerzo ir más allá de lo meramente necesario para ganarse el día. No es algo que se pueda a describir a la perfección, pero sí que es algo que se percibe al caminar por las calles del pueblo en días como hoy...

Obviously, I'm a pretty idle guy who spends his time taking photos in the streets of town, so it's possible that this has made me more sensitive to what I like to call "the town's mood" in my own photographic jargon. And that's how, I suppose, my perceptions are transmitted to my photographs and, in a way, shape them. And I won't deny that sometimes I come across as a bit of a "streetwise storyteller," but I'm sure that most of my work speaks volumes about the town's pulse on certain days...

Obviamente, yo soy un tipo bastante desocupado que se la vive haciendo fotos en las calles del pueblo, entonces es factible que eso haya terminado por hacerme más sensible a eso que me gusta llamar "los humores del poblado" en mi jerga fotográfica particular. Y es así como, supongo yo, que mis percepciones se transmiten a mis fotografías y de alguna manera las construyen. Y no niego que algunas veces peque yo un poco de "fabulador callejero", pero estoy seguro de que la mayor parte de mi trabajo habla muy bien de como está pulsando el pueblo en días determinados...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
