Shapes & water [es-en] ----Monomad----
These photos are inspired by a weekly challenge of the Safari Habana project, of which I have been a member for more than 5 years. For the current week, the theme was water, so I thought I'd play a bit with the whole distortion effect that the precious liquid causes when we see it through the glass .
For the background at first I wanted to use a craft made of wood but it wasn't going to cover the whole area I wanted, however you can see in the photo how interesting it looks too.
So in the end I used two dresses of mine, which have those patterns that could look very nice as the lines accentuate more the distortion effect. My husband assisted me with the lighting 😁, as my house is a bit dark and not enough natural light was coming in.
I took a group of glasses of different shapes and sizes to play with the effect of each one of them. I wanted something that was very cylindrical and high, but I didn't have any glass or cup like that, so I took a jar of olives that was almost empty. I ate the ones that were left 😅😆 and cleaned it for the occasion....👌
I used a 50mm 1.8 lens with apertures between f4 and f7.1.
In the last photo I wanted to add a bit of chaos, and to break up the monochromatic, so I asked my assistant (my husband again 😂) to drop a cherry from at least 40 cm high into the glass. That photo is made with an aperture f 5.0 and a shutter speed of 320, ISO 500.
I hope you like them and are motivated to try things like this at home, and that you try it even with your cell phone.
If you made it this far, know that I wish you a great day!

Wow! Estoy flipando, es genial tu trabajo!
Your assistant gave you a super idea with that cherry :)
ahahahah well, that's something, and that someone else took the picture isn't it?!😅 I ate the cherry at the end too...now that I think about it, maybe I should have given it to my assistant 😆.
He deserved that cherry indeed, the idea was good 🍒 ;)
Perfecto 👏
Gracias niñita!!! 😍
I really liked the third image.

Thanks @ackhoo for the support!!🤗
Wow, qué interesante ejercicio. Fabulosas fotos, Jane.
Que buena idea!! demasiado creativa!
Great art of shooting
While all the photos are good, I loved the cherry one the most. The splashes of water with that of the red color of cherry and the black and white stripes. Everything is looking awesome.
I am amazed to see so many shapes of glasses. It means you have quite many glasses at your home. Are they the complete set of six or you have just one piece of each kind 🤔?

I found your comment so funny because when I saw all the glasses together I was also quite surprised by the variety, I hadn't realized!😆
Some are from a long time ago and many are broken, but there are at least two of each type, although I have all 6 from others.
The interesting thing is that we don't use them too much
.... just the beer one. 😂.
Hehe. The glass is the crockery that attracts me a lot. Whenever I go to stores I make a look at the glass section. Though I don't buy needlessly but I appreciate the design.
Seeing so many designs in one picture put me in an awe. Hehe. I thought the !LADY has got a great variety 😁
hahaha I get it, we all have our peculiar tastes 😆, for example in the kitchen I love to have a variety of knives. I don't even know what they are all used for 😅, I can't always buy them either😕, but I look at them in the stores and am amazed at their variety.
The glasses is another one of those things that I really like, they look soooo pretty!!!!
We can't always buy what we like but we cannot stop us staring them. Hehe

What a great idea to do monochromatic photos! Love it!!!
It reminded me of Sheldon Cooper's costume... 😂
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!
So True 🤣🤣🤣!!!! I didn't remember this outfit on Sheldon!😱

Ooo, this looks like a smooth play with forms, patterns & photography! So, simple & perfect! Great work!
