Hello friends, today I present to you a series of photographs that make me feel very comfortable, as I return to the streets of my city, with my gaze fixed on those buildings whose architecture stands out for its unique and interesting features. This is how the lens of my camera once again points downward, seeking those angles that reflect the grandeur, modernism, and good style of a city that, for geographical reasons, has had to learn to grow vertically.

Hola amigos, hoy me presento ante ustedes con una serie fotográfica que me hace sentir muy cómodo, ya que en esta oportunidad vuelvo a salir a las calles de mi ciudad, con la mirada puesta en esos edificios cuya arquitectura se destaca por sus características únicas e interesantes. Es de esta forma como el lente de mi cámara vuelve a apuntar en contrapicado, buscando esos ángulos que reflejen la grandiosidad, el modernismo y el buen estilo de una ciudad que por razones geográficas ha tenido que aprender a crecer en forma vertical.
For a long time, brutalist architecture was at the forefront of construction in the city of Caracas, but over time, new styles and designs have taken hold throughout the capital, which now also shines with huge glass facades, electronic screens, and modern materials. But regardless of how the exterior structure of each building is configured, the use of concrete as the main element in the architectural process continues to prevail internally, due to its low cost and the accumulated experience of Venezuelan companies that have worked with this material for years.
Durante mucho tiempo la arquitectura brutalista ocupó la vanguardia en los procesos constructivos de la ciudad de Caracas, pero con el pasar del tiempo nuevos estilos y diseños se han ido posicionando a lo largo y ancho de esta capital, la cual ahora también brilla con enormes fachadas acristaladas, pantallas electrónicas y materiales modernos. Pero sin importar cómo se configure la estructura exterior de cada edificio a lo interno sigue prevaleciendo el uso del concreto como elemento principal en el proceso arquitectónico, esto debido a su bajo costo y a la experiencia acumulada por empresas venezolanas que durante años han trabajado con este material.
The fast pace of the real estate sector that marked the 1970s and 1980s has been slowed by the effects of the various economic crises that have hit the country, but despite this, we have seen how many new buildings are currently rising on the Caracas skyline as symbols of progress and development.
El ritmo trepidante del sector inmobiliario que marcó la década de los 70 y los 80 se ha visto ralentizado por los efectos de las diversas crisis económicas que han azotado al país, pero a pesar de ello hemos visto cómo en la actualidad muchas nuevas construcciones se alzan en el horizonte caraqueño como símbolos de progreso y desarrollo.
Urban environments are full of contrasts, peculiarities, and symbolism, but in general, we could define them as spaces modified by humans, whose purpose is to create environments capable of satisfying human needs, always taking into account such important features as aesthetics, landscaping, and grandeur. Therefore, the photographs resulting from these realities constitute unique images that are interesting, and at the same time forge collective memories.
Los entornos urbanos están llenos de contrastes, peculiaridades y simbolismos, pero en general los podríamos definir como espacios modificados por el hombre, cuya finalidad radica en generar ambientes capaces de satisfacer las necesidades humanas, siempre tomando en cuenta rasgos tan importantes como la estética, el paisajismo y la grandeza, por lo tanto, las fotografías resultantes de estas realidades, se constituyen en imágenes únicas, interesantes y al mismo tiempo forjadoras de memorias colectivas.
