Estudio de Suelos: Toma de muestras || Soil Survey: Sampling [ESP-ENG]

Ejercer la fotografía con disciplina me ha llevado a vivir muchas experiencias, momentos que me enriquecen. Cada sesión me lleva a la reflexión de que muchas fotografías van más allá de pisar el obturador y ver la pantalla de la cámara. Activar el disparador, posiblemente, lo pueda hacer cualquiera, sin embargo, hay sesiones donde indagar en el proceso de interés es de vital importancia para poder destacar lo de mayor relevancia. Cada experiencia fotográfica se ha ido acumulando, dejándome grandes aprendizajes y herramientas que me ayudan en las nuevas situaciones fotográficas.

Being a disciplined photographer has led me to live many experiences, moments that enrich me. Each session leads me to the reflection that many photographs go beyond pressing the shutter and looking at the camera screen. Activating the shutter, possibly, anyone can do it, however, there are sessions where digging into the process of interest is of vital importance to highlight what is most relevant. Each photographic experience has been accumulating, leaving me with great lessons and tools that help me in new photographic situations.

Ver las fotos a través del visor nunca será igual que verlas en la computadora a través del programa de revelado. La pantalla de la cámara, por ser tan pequeña, puede que nos haga pasar por alto algunos detalles que nos produzca desconexión con la captura. La idea es que cada fotografía nos deje esa sensación de que el momento se vive a través de la imagen. En mi forma particular de ver la fotografía, estar precavido a este detalle es lo que te dará la garantía de lograr fotografías únicas y relevantes.

Viewing photos through the viewfinder will never be the same as viewing them on the computer through the development program. The camera's screen, because it is so small, may make us overlook some details that may cause us to disconnect with the capture. The idea is that each photograph leaves us with the feeling that the moment is lived through the image. In my particular way of seeing photography, being cautious of this detail is what will give you the guarantee of achieving unique and relevant photographs.

Para esta sesión tuve la oportunidad de reunirme con el Ingeniero encargo de hacer el estudio de suelos, esto me ayudó a centrarme en la parte técnica que se requería para que el registro fotográfico estuviera en consonancia con su área. Me ayudó mucho involucrarme con ellos antes de ir a la sesión, me tocó aprender cosas nuevas y tener presente detalles técnicos que ellos requerían. Conocer su flujo de trabajo para el estudio de suelos fue valioso para mí, además de ser algo nuevo.

For this session I had the opportunity to meet with the engineer in charge of doing the soil survey, this helped me to focus on the technical part that was required for the photographic record to be in line with their area. It helped me a lot to get involved with them before going to the session, I got to learn new things and keep in mind technical details that they required. Knowing their workflow for the soil survey was valuable for me, besides being something new.

Las fotos han sido realizadas para una empresa que se encarga de hacer Estudios de Suelos, llamada Laboring S.A.S.; han sido capturadas en la Ciudad de Duitama, Colombia. Se usó una cámara reflex Canon 700D, editadas en Silver Efex Pro con Adobe Lightroom.

This is my proposal for the #monomad challenge.
The photos have been taken for a company that is in charge of doing Soil Surveys, called Laboring S.A.S.; they have been captured in the city of Duitama, Colombia. A Canon 700D reflex camera was used, edited in Silver Efex Pro with Adobe Lightroom.
