Monomad - Carl Spitzweg

Hey dear Hive friends, I hope you had a great Friday and wish you also a nice rest of the weekend! Today I would like to take part in the #monomad challenge and present some beautiful pictures of artworks in black and white.

In the first picture you can see an absolute classic, the title of the work of art is "The Alchemist" and it was created in 1860. Normally I framed it but since the glass of the frame would reflect too much, I put it out briefly for the pictures. In the second picture you can see "The Garden Friend" and the original painting was also created in 1860.

Unfortunately I don't have any original paintings of him, but I'm really happy to have a few canvases and art prints, of which I would like to present three. I am really very enthusiastic and have become a big fan of his works, the paintings are very nostalgic and create a good mood and have their own style. In the next picture you can also see one of the best-known works "The Bookworm" and the original painting was created in 1850.

The painter of these three beautiful works of art is the well-known German painter Carl Spitzweg and he has achieved a high priority in art history worldwide. He has created around 1500 or more pictures, drawings and watercolors and all of them have one thing in common, their own and unique art style! Anyone who is interested in art and does not yet know Carl Spitzweg should definitely keep an eye on this artist!

Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my new entry! I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.

at first, I thought thia "Normally I framed it but since the glass of the frame would reflect too much" was meant metaphorically

Yes, the frame glass reflects too much when I take the pictures. Have a nice day! :)

Spitzweg reminds me of Spitzweggerich (a herb in german)
and spitzer Weg = pointed path
