Monomad - Amethyst
Hey dear Hive friends, first of all I wish you a good start to the new week and also hope that you are well! I thought about taking part in the new round of the #monomad challenge again today and took some black and white pictures.
The topic I have picked out are minerals and I would like to talk specifically about amethyst. I have some interesting informations to present in addition to my pictures, and hope you find it interesting and can learn something new! Particularly striking with amethyst is probably the intense purple color and it is a special type of quartz.
The name amethyst comes from ancient Greece and means intoxicate, it used to be assumed that amethyst can protect against the negative effects of wine. This mineral can actually be found pretty much worldwide and it is also a popular gemstone for many people. From a symbolic point of view, the amethyst is a special sign that is associated with inspiration and can help to get creative and give energy. It is also often seen as a sign of love and is also a well-known mineral that can protect.
Amethyst is also very well known as a healing stone and is highly appreciated in this area! The effects are diverse, if you wear it on the skin, it can, for example, improve the skin and also rejuvenate it. It also becomes soothing on the body and can improve the mood or can also have positive effects on the cells. Amethyst can also help stabilize blood pressure and improve sleep quality. As always, no matter what medicine, you should always ask your doctor for the correct application!
The old alchemists were known for making elixirs and used various minerals for this, including amethyst. Amethyst can also be found in mystical teachings and it is often associated with black and white magic. It is also clear from spiritual teachings that this mineral can have a positive effect on the aura and the chakra system and is also a good companion for mediation.
In connection with the origin of the name, I have already discussed Greek mythology, but amethyst can also be found in Roman mythology. There is a saying that in Roman mythology, the goddess Diana is said to have turned a nymph called Amethyst into a stone in front of the eyes of Bacchus, who is also considered the god of wine. It can also be found in the ancient Egypt and also in Buddhism, there are some connections with amethyst and the divine. In the end, I present the amethyst to you in color pictures, which probably brings the full radiance and the intense purple color to the full appearance.
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my slightly different entry! I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.

Thank you for your kind words :) I am glad that you are also generally interested in this unique topic. Have a nice day!
To me some part of this mineral looks like diamond shaped :P
Now that you say it, that’s true! Of course, that would be to nice if that were the case :)
Thank you for the information.
I love the amethyst and have some in my room.
but i dont know how to clean it.
i have read that the amethyst is the only stone than can clean themself without water and energize themself without sun. I have read that if you put the amethyst in sunlight, the purple color disappears.
so for now, I refrain from working with the amethyst because i dont know if its charged with negative energy from the past.
Right now i'm just using the white rock crystal. it is placed above my head while I sleep and it helps me dream more clearly, and it actually works.

Great, maybe you'll share a few pictures of it in the future :) I've also heard that amethyst is able to clean itself, I regularly free mine of dust, but it also tolerates water. You can also use amethyst well to charge other minerals, that's true with the sun.. If it's there for too long, it can change the color. You can also put minerals well in the moonlight to charge it and there is a frequency that is also known to energize minerals, a rare topic but the frequency 2675 Hz is connected to quartz and can help to charge minerals. Nice to have found someone who is interested in this topic :) Have a nice day and I am happy to read your comment! Best Regards
That's a very good idea! Maybe in the next few days and with some information in combination with yours and what I know?
what you use the amethyst especially?
Me too. I'm glad someone has different information on topics that interest me so I can learn about perspectives other than mine.
best regards,
charlissy
Sounds cool and like a great idea, will definitely stop by :) I also use the amethyst as a healing stone and also to meditate. I think I will also write something more about minerals in the future, it is such an interesting topic! Sounds like a good idea from you, I will also try to place amethyst near my sleeping place, it can certainly help to dream more clearly and of course also create a grounding effect.
Good to know about this mineral stone, I feel surprised that this stones uses in medical fields.
I am very pleased that through my posts others can expand their knowledge :)
