The Essential Virtue of Flexibility ESP/ENG

Flexibility is an extremely important virtue for taking photos. There are always adjustments in photo sessions that require having to rethink the way I do the job or the arrangement I have of the space, whether due to light, restrictions, etc.

La flexibilidad es una virtud sumamente importante para hacer fotos. Siempre existen ajustes en las sesiones de fotos que hacen tener que replantear la forma en la que hago el trabajo o la disposición que tengo del espacio, ya sea por la luz, restricciones, etc.

Being flexible is fundamental for dealing with changes. My daughter Lucía has autism, and when we didn't know it and had gotten used to what I thought was her personality, we already had many episodes of stress due to this reduced capacity that people with autism have, as they like to keep routines intact. It was because of this that one of the first things we did was to focus on her being more flexible with what was happening to her or with the plans.

Ser flexible es fundamental para poder lidiar con los cambios. Mi hija Lucía tiene autismo y cuando no lo sabíamos, y nos acostumbramos a lo que pensaba que era su personalidad, ya teníamos muchos episodios de estrés debido a esta capacidad reducida que poseen las personas con autismo, ya que les gusta mantener las rutinas intactas. Fue por esto que de las primeras cosas que hicimos fue concentrarnos en que fuese más flexible con lo que le sucedía o con los planes.

Doing that was one of the best things we could have done to make daily life easier or to fulfill household tasks, and I see a connection with the ability to be flexible in photography. Since it is an art very tied to people, both because of the eye that takes the photo and because of the models if you work with models, one must practice flexibility to achieve the goals that are set.

Hacer eso fue de lo mejor que pudimos hacer para hacer más fácil la cotidianidad o cumplir con las tareas del hogar, y veo una conexión con la capacidad de ser flexible en la fotografía. Al ser un arte muy ligada a las personas, tanto por el ojo que toma la foto como por los modelos si se trabaja con modelos, uno debe practicar la flexibilidad para lograr las metas que se plantean.

I consider myself a flexible person in various aspects. My wife is also such a person, and it is a virtue that I feel has allowed us to solve more situations together than I could have solved with other people, so I am grateful for that about our personalities.

Me considero una persona flexible en varios aspectos. Mi esposa también es una persona así y es una virtud que siento que nos ha hecho poder solucionar más situaciones juntos de las que pude haber solucionado con otras personas, así que agradezco eso de nuestras personalidades.
