My Perspective, Their Reflection ESP/ENG

Portraiture will never stop appealing to me. I really like portraits in a medium shot, closeup, and detail shot. I've noticed that this preference I have for doing these types of portraits is something very intimate to me, and on many occasions, this perspective is one that people don't like very much.

El retrato nunca dejará de gustarme. Me gustan mucho los retratos en plano medio, closeup y plano detalle. Este gusto que tengo por hacer este tipo de retratos noto que es algo muy íntimo mío y que en muchas ocasiones esta perspectiva es una que a las personas no les gusta mucho.

It's something I have to pay attention to because the portrait must also include the way the person being portrayed sees themselves, and I have to learn how they want to see themselves.

Es algo a lo que le tengo que prestar atención, porque el retrato también debe tener las formas de ver que se tiene el retratado a sí mismo y debo aprender cómo es que quiere observarse.

Constanza specifically really liked these photos, and I really like it when that happens because I can concentrate on my way and not so much on discovering the other person's way. But I don't end up doing it selfishly; on the contrary, when they enjoy the same way I do, it becomes natural for both of us.

A Constanza específicamente le gustaron mucho estas fotos, y me gusta mucho cuando eso ocurre porque me puedo concentrar en mi manera y no tanto en descubrir la del otro. Pero no lo termino haciendo de forma egoísta, sino todo lo contrario; cuando disfrutan de esa misma forma que yo lo hago se vuelve natural para ambos.
