Estas niñas han estado en casa por 6 años y han crecido con nosotros. Son muy amigables pues siempre están con mi abuela como si fuera con ellas lo que son, parte de la familia. Ellas son tragona y dormilona dos Morrocoy que han sido por largo tiempo unos ejemplares modelos para fotografiar pues aunque hoy no tuve el tiempo suficiente para bajarlas al jardín, se portaron muy bien al momento de capturarlas por el lente.

These girls have been with us for six years and have grown up with us. They’re very friendly they’re always with my grandmother, as if she were one of them, part of the family. They’re big eaters and heavy sleepers two Morrocoy iguanas who have long been model subjects for photography. Even though I didn’t have enough time today to take them down to the garden, they behaved very well when I captured them through the lens.

Y la verdad es que después de mudarme tuve un tiempo que no las veía. Las veces que iba al apartamento donde están no las encontraba pero hoy fui a llevarle un material para una reparación al apartamento de mi abuela y me encontré con una de ellas en el cuarto al pie de la cama acompañando a mi abuela ja ja ja y es por eso que digo que son muy amigables.

And the truth is, after I moved, there was a while when I didn’t see them. The times I went to the apartment where they live, I couldn’t find them, but today I went to bring some supplies for a repair to my grandmother’s apartment and I found one of them in the bedroom at the foot of the bed keeping my grandmother company, ha ha ha—and that’s why I say they’re so friendly.

A lo mejor por el ángulo de las fotos no notarán lo grandes que están ahora. Pero han crecido mucho y están muy saludables aun cuando no están en un patio con tierra aunque bueno, en su momento cuando llegaron le fabrique una jardinera que llené con arena y le hice un especie de techo con lo que tenía. Aun así, no es el hábitat adecuado para ellas y aun así han crecido muy saludables. En fin, esta es una entrada más para el #monomad

Maybe because of the angle of the photos, you won't notice how big they are now. But they've grown a lot and are very healthy, even though they aren't in a yard with soil though, when they first arrived, I built them a planter that I filled with sand and made a sort of roof for it with whatever I had on hand. Even so, it's not the ideal habitat for them, and yet they've grown up very healthy. Anyway, this is just another post for #monomad
