Just People || Monomad

Hello black and white lovers. Saturday afternoon and it had finished raining. The sun was just coming out when I set out to take some snapshots. That mix between cloudy sky in the background, good sun and reflections of the wet ground are a good combination. Light of course is fundamental. For street photography I prefer good light, high contrast, going with the dramaturgy of the type of photography. For architectural photography hard light is spectacular. When the day is cloudy and there is soft and even light I like to do another type of photography, portraits, close-ups and that type of image, more romantic so to speak. And look at me here talking like an expert in photography when I'm just an amateur, but that's what I see and feel when I take pictures. This time I want to share with you a series of street images where ordinary people prevail. They are made in a very central area in Vedado in the capital. Just people going about their daily business. Nothing more, nothing less. With these shots I want to enter the daily challenge #monomad. Bye!

Bye!

I love the title of the publication because it fits perfectly with these photographs. It is undoubtedly beautiful to capture the spontaneity and naturalness of people in their daily lives.

It was the first phrase that came to my mind when I edited the images, very spontaneous like the pictures themselves. I love to do this kind of work, the natural behavior of the people is very clear. Thank you very much!

I also love those radiant days with good light to take photos, although that moment, as you mention, when the sun comes out and then it rains, is also perfect, mixing some perfect tones and contrasts.

That day I thought I was not going to be able to take pictures since I had gone out with my camera, but suddenly the rain came down and the sun came out. And that mix of sun, cloudy, wet was great. I loved the way the photos turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. 👍

Thank you very much for those words. I'm glad you liked the pictures. The result is very natural when people don't feel photographed.
